The FUT Gallery in EA Sports FC 27 is one of the most misunderstood systems in Ultimate Team. Most players treat it like a passive collection feature and ignore it entirely. That's a mistake. Done correctly, the Gallery is a structured token economy that rewards smart market play, and the prizes at the top, including Holographic Hero and Icon picks, are genuinely worth grinding toward.
The key insight that most players miss: cards you sell or submit to SBCs still count toward Gallery Sets permanently. That single mechanic turns what looks like a coin sink into a revolving investment.
Access it through Club > Gallery in Ultimate Team. Every eligible Player Item that passes through your Club, whether from packs, objectives, SBCs, or the Transfer Market, gets recorded permanently in your Gallery history. That history feeds into themed Gallery Sets organized by club, league, rarity, and campaign.
Grading a Set does not consume the players. Fill a Set with your recorded cards, check the projected score, and grade it. The cards stay in your Club or wherever you moved them.
Each Set receives a grade from D to S based on its Total Score. That score comes from the combined Item Scores of your selected players, modified by active Gallery Tags. Grade rewards are cumulative: if a Set jumps straight to S, you receive every lower-grade reward automatically.
A few rules worth knowing:
Gallery Tokens are earned exclusively by grading Sets. There is no way to purchase them through microtransactions or earn them from standard pack rewards. Every Token comes from completing and grading a Gallery Set.
The Token total you can realistically earn changes constantly as new Player Items enter the game and raise Set grades. Early in the season, many Sets, particularly the large League Sets and big-club Sets, cannot reach their higher grades because the required card quality does not yet exist on the market.
Tokens are spent in the Gallery Token Store, which currently holds 26 Hall of FUT players during Season 1. The headline prizes are Alexandre Pato and Hulk, each costing 750 Tokens. Below them, players like Doumbia, Balotelli, David Luiz, Valencia, and Walcott sit at 500 Tokens. Guarín and Florenzi are available at 400, while McGeady and Layún cost 300.
| Player | Position | OVR | Tokens Required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alexandre Pato | ST | 85 | 750 |
| Hulk | RM | 85 | 750 |
| Doumbia | ST | 84 | 500 |
| Balotelli | ST | 85 | 500 |
| David Luiz | CB | 85 | 500 |
| Valencia | RB | 85 | 500 |
| Guarín | CM | 84 | 400 |
| Florenzi | CM | 84 | 400 |
| McGeady | CAM | 84 | 300 |
Pato is the consensus best card in the store: 90 pace and 85 shooting at ST with four-star skills and weak foot. Guarín at 400 Tokens offers the best value relative to his rating, matching Hulk's overall score for significantly fewer Tokens. If you need a center-back specifically, David Luiz is the only option in the store.

Gallery Token Store rewards
The buy-grade-sell method. Find small Club Sets that can already reach A or S Grade with cards currently on the market, buy the required players, register them in your Club so they enter your Gallery history, grade the Set, claim the Tokens, then sell the tradeable cards back.
Your real cost per cycle is the 5% Transfer Market tax on each resale, plus any spread between your buy price and sell price. The Gallery remembers that you owned those cards, so selling them does not remove the completed Set.
The most efficient Sets right now are small lower-division clubs where S Grade is reachable cheaply:
| Gallery Set | Best Reachable Grade | Cumulative Tokens |
|---|---|---|
| Frosinone | S | 28 |
| Birmingham City | S | 28 |
| Costa Adeje Tenerife | S | 28 |
| Malaga CF | S | 28 |
| Rayo Vallecano | S | 38 |
| RC Deportivo | S | 38 |
| Villarreal CF | S | 38 |
| VfB Stuttgart | S | 38 |
Frosinone requires 15 players and its current S threshold is low enough for readily available market cards to reach it. Working through the full list of cheap Club Sets can get you to roughly 500 Tokens for around 50,000 to 60,000 coins, most of which you recover through resales.
The step-by-step process:
Avoid the big League Sets for Token farming. The LALIGA EA SPORTS Set, for example, requires 30 players and its Token-per-coin efficiency is dramatically worse than small Club Sets at this stage of the season. League Sets become useful for Gallery Level farming later, but not for cheap Token accumulation.
Gallery Level and Gallery Tokens are separate grinds that require different strategies. Level is driven entirely by Gallery Score, not Token count. Reaching Level 10 is estimated to require around 3 million Gallery Score, though EA has not published an official level-to-score table.
The most powerful multiplier for Gallery Score is the First Owner Tag. Cards obtained directly from packs, objectives, SBCs, or rewards carry this tag. When a Set contains enough First Owner Items, the total score gets multiplied:
| First Owner Items in Set | Gallery Score Bonus |
|---|---|
| 5 to 9 | +150% |
| 10 to 19 | +300% |
| 20 or more | +500% |
A mediocre Gold card from a pack can contribute more Gallery Score than an expensive market purchase of a higher-rated player, because the First Owner bonus can triple or quintuple the Set's total output. Stop discarding low-rated First Owner cards from leagues where you are building Sets.
League Sets require 30 Player Items and have much higher scoring ceilings than Club Sets. They are expensive to fill entirely from the market, but they become excellent Gallery Level farms once your Club has naturally accumulated First Owner players from gameplay rewards, objectives, and pack openings.
Start with the leagues where you already have the deepest First Owner collection. Fill as many slots as possible with earned cards, then use market purchases only to patch the remaining gaps.
Do not wait for S Grade before grading a League Set. Grade it at D or C now, keep collecting First Owner cards, and regrade later. Each regrade builds additional Gallery Score without requiring you to start over.
Tags stack on top of each other, so the highest-rated lineup is not always the highest-scoring one. A lower-rated First Owner card that activates a stronger Tag tier can beat a higher-rated market purchase in Gallery Score.
Key Tag values to know:
Always check the projected Total Score before confirming a Set. Replacing one expensive market card with a cheaper First Owner card that pushes the Set across the next Tag threshold can produce a meaningfully higher score.
Before spending any coins on market purchases, complete the permanent Gallery Foundations objectives. They walk you through grading a Set, completing the Starter Set, reaching S Grade, completing three Sets, and reaching Gallery Level 2. Finishing the full group awards 5 additional Gallery Tokens on top of the packs and coins returned along the way.
The Starter Set only requires five eligible Bronze, Silver, or Gold Players and awards 5 Gallery Tokens at S Grade. It is one of the easiest completions in the entire Gallery and should be your first stop.
For a full breakdown of the FC 27 Squad Foundation cards you can earn through objectives, the FC 27 Squad Foundation players guide covers every card and how to unlock them.
Every five levels, the Gallery awards a Milestone reward through a permanent objective. There are 25 levels total:
| Gallery Level | Milestone Reward |
|---|---|
| 5 | Squad Foundations Jesús Corona (84-rated) |
| 10 | 1 of 5 Holographic Base Hero Player Pick |
| 15 | 1 of 5 Holographic Base Icon Player Pick |
| 20 | 1 of 5 88+ Holographic Base Hero Player Pick |
| 25 | 1 of 5 92+ Holographic Base Icon Player Pick |
Level 10 is the first major target because of the Holographic Base Hero pick. Levels 15 and beyond offer increasingly valuable Icon picks, but reaching them requires sustained Gallery Score accumulation across a full season of play.
Do not burn your coin balance trying to force Level 10 immediately. The most efficient path is building First Owner-heavy League Sets gradually as you earn more reward packs, complete objectives, and collect new campaign Items throughout the season.

Level 10 Milestone reward
The split strategy works best: use First Owner cards to push Gallery Level through large, heavily boosted Sets, and use market coins to cycle through cheap Club Sets for Tokens. Combining both approaches is faster than committing entirely to one.
