Roblox has launched its first Parent and Caregiver Council, a program designed to give families direct input on platform safety, civility, and digital well-being. The council will start with up to 40 parents and caregivers from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and European countries, with plans to expand into additional regions later. Members will advise Roblox on features, policies, and resources to help families use the platform safely and responsibly.
Supporting Families Through Advocacy
The Parent Council mirrors Roblox's existing Teen Council, which has already provided useful insight into user experience and safety concerns. Council members will meet quarterly to share feedback, flag issues, and suggest improvements that reflect what families actually need. The program gives parents a formal way to influence how the platform operates and evolves.
This initiative builds on recent changes, including the appointment of a Head of Parental Advocacy and upgrades to parental controls. Dr. Elizabeth Milovidov, who leads parental advocacy at Roblox, says the council will deliver real-time feedback from parents to make the platform more supportive and relevant for families. The goal is also to help parents guide their kids toward safer online behavior.

How Parents Can Join
Parents and caregivers who know Roblox, speak English fluently, and live in one of the eligible regions can apply. The program runs from January through December 2026. Responsible Digital Engagement
The Parent Council reflects Roblox's continued push to create a safer and more civil online space, especially as the platform grows its presence in the web3 gaming space. By bringing parents directly into the decision-making process, Roblox wants to encourage informed digital participation and build a more supportive community for younger users.
