Sparq Inc., an AI-driven mobile game publisher and acquisition platform, has introduced a new digital ecosystem designed to bring together collegiate sports, mobile gaming, and web3 technology. The company's approach centers on delivering a straightforward and accessible experience that appeals to a wide audience, particularly younger users increasingly interested in digital ownership and blockchain-based technologies.

Sparq Inc Brings Collegiate Sports Gaming to Web3
Collegiate sports IP finally comes to mobile
Sparq's strategy hinges on its limited-exclusive license to use U.S. collegiate sports intellectual property in mobile games. This opportunity emerged after nearly a decade of legal restrictions that blocked the use of college sports marks in gaming titles. Alongside EA Sports, Sparq is among the first companies to secure such licensing, gaining access to the trademarks of more than 700 universities and the name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights of over 190,000 male and female college athletes.
The global collegiate sports audience includes more than 180 million fans. The recent relaunch of EA's college football franchise generated over $500 million within two weeks, demonstrating substantial consumer interest and the opportunity for growth in this space.

Obstacle courses instead of simulation
Sparq is skipping the conventional sports simulation format. The company's first title takes inspiration from accessible, widely appealing formats like Stumble Guys and features a college-athlete-themed obstacle course. The game is family-friendly and easy to pick up, targeting casual gamers and sports fans alike.
Jan Horsfall, CEO and co-founder of Sparq Games, says the company identifies new gaming genres that can attract more users by combining recognized sports IP with user-friendly design. Fans increasingly want interactive ways to engage with their favorite teams and athletes, and Sparq's AI-powered tools help the company find and develop gaming concepts that meet these expectations.

More About Sparq Games
Two divisions, one ecosystem
Sparq's platform consists of two interconnected divisions: Sparq Games and the SPARQ Token Foundation. Sparq Games handles mobile game publishing and user acquisition, using proprietary artificial intelligence to refine its strategies. The SPARQ Token Foundation manages the blockchain components, including the token economy, digital rewards, and incentive structures for creators and contributors.
The Sparq Locker Room sits at the center of the onboarding experience. This platform introduces users to blockchain tools and digital asset ownership without requiring prior crypto knowledge. Through the Locker Room, players can earn rewards and own in-game digital assets in a straightforward environment.
Tony Dye, co-founder and President of Product at Sparq, says the Sparq Locker Room creates a practical and engaging space for all participants in the ecosystem, whether they are players, fans, or developers. Ongoing updates will continue to enhance the platform's functionality.

The $SPARQ token powers the platform
The $SPARQ token plays a central role in the platform's design. It supports governance functions, acts as a reward mechanism, and can generate yield through a revenue-sharing buyback model. The token is integrated across various parts of the ecosystem, and eligible participants—including gamers, creators, developers, and athlete ambassadors—can earn incentives based on their contributions and engagement.
Sparq is also launching a development incubator. This initiative will provide selected game developers with funding, publishing support, and user acquisition resources. The incubator promotes new projects that align with Sparq's platform strategy while strengthening the token economy.

Meet the Sparq Team
140 years of combined experience
Sparq's leadership team brings together more than 140 years of combined experience in game development, licensing, and blockchain technology. They were also instrumental in launching the first premium free-to-play game in the U.S. and Europe, setting new standards for user acquisition and monetization.
Sparq aims to provide a new model for how digital games can engage users. By combining modern technology with traditional fan enthusiasm, the company seeks to redefine how sports gaming can be experienced and monetized in a connected, digital-first environment.
