Mon Studios has officially launched Spellborne on mobile devices, making the game available to players on both Android and iOS platforms. The mobile version can now be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This release follows the conclusion of the Enchanted Guild Wars event and expands the accessibility of the game to users who prefer playing on mobile.

Previously, iOS players could only access Spellborne through the Safari browser, but the native mobile app now offers a more seamless and convenient experience across both operating systems. The mobile launch enables players to engage in Spellborne’s play-and-earn features from anywhere, while maintaining full cross-platform functionality with the PC browser version.

Free-to-Play Monster-Catching MMORPG
Spellborne is a free-to-play monster-catching MMORPG set in a top-down 2D world inspired by classic titles like Pokémon. Players explore the world of Celestia as one of three hunter types, each with unique abilities and storylines. The game centers around capturing creatures known as Mons, which can be used in turn-based battles.
Beyond combat, Spellborne incorporates additional gameplay elements such as farming, mining, and fishing, providing a variety of activities that appeal to different player preferences. Progression is driven by completing quests, upgrading stats, and participating in PvP tournaments and seasonal events. The game can also be accessed on PC via web browsers, with an early access release planned for the Epic Games Store on both Windows and Mac platforms.

New Mini-Games and Skill Levels
Ahead of the mobile launch, Spellborne introduced a fishing mechanic as part of a new update. Players can now fish in any in-game body of water using a rod and bait system. The fishing process involves a mini-game in which players must maintain control of the hook to successfully catch fish. Each catch grants fishing experience, allowing players to level up and unlock new fish species. Higher skill levels increase the chances of earning rare rewards such as Ambers, which are high-tier crafting materials used in making Prismatic Crystals and Anklets.

Gold Frenzy Event with Fishing Frenzy
To promote the new feature, Mon Studios launched the Gold Frenzy event in collaboration with the Ronin-based game Fishing Frenzy. Running for 30 days from July 4, the event offers players a 25 percent chance of receiving gold nuggets as bonus rewards while fishing. Holders of the Fishing Frenzy Founders Pass NFT receive an increased bonus rate of 50 percent.
These NFTs can be connected to Spellborne accounts through the delegate feature in the settings menu. While it remains unclear whether a snapshot was taken to determine eligibility for the bonus, the Founders Pass offers ongoing benefits including future airdrops, exclusive in-game cosmetics, and access to future events across the broader Uncharted ecosystem.

Apartment NFT Holders and Sushi Chest
In return, Spellborne Apartment NFT holders receive in-game rewards in Fishing Frenzy, including one Sushi Chest and one Golden Chest. Eligible players can claim this reward by logging in to the Fishing Frenzy browser game and linking the wallet holding the qualifying NFT.
Since the snapshot for this reward has already been taken, new Apartment NFT purchases do not qualify for the current promotion. However, these NFTs still provide in-game land customization, eligibility for $BORNE token airdrops, access to future mints, PvP tournament creation tools, and guild management features.

Play-and-Earn and Web3 Integration
Spellborne incorporates web3 mechanics that allow players to earn through gameplay. The Mons collected in-game are tradable assets that exist as part of an NFT collection on the Avalanche blockchain. Players can trade these digital pets via marketplaces like OpenSea.
In addition to NFT trading, Spellborne features a play-and-earn structure through its seasonal airdrop system. During Season 2, players can collect three types of airdrop points: gameplay points, store points, and creator points. Gameplay points are earned by completing missions, story quests, and participating in PvP matches. Store points are collected through in-game purchases such as chests and season passes.
Creator points are awarded to players who post content about Spellborne on social media platforms like X, tagging the game’s official account and using the hashtag #spellbornecreate. Posts that receive recognition from the development team may earn additional points toward the airdrop.
As Spellborne continues to evolve through updates and collaborations, the mobile launch represents a major step toward establishing the game as a scalable, accessible, and community-driven title within the web3 gaming space.
