In March 2025, Fortnite, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and EA Sports FC 25 led the revenue charts across all tracked regions. The month saw the entry of six new titles into the top 20 revenue rankings. Three of these were established franchise releases—Assassin's Creed Shadows, MLB The Show 25, and WWE 2K25—while the other three were new intellectual properties, namely Split Fiction, Schedule I, and InZOI.

Marvel Rivals, a game that previously showed strong initial success, experienced a notable decline in revenue performance, dropping from seventh to eighteenth place within a month. In contrast, R.E.P.O., a co-op horror game that launched at the end of February, demonstrated significant growth by quickly gaining traction among players throughout March.

Platform-Specific Revenue Developments

On PC, Monster Hunter Wilds and Sid Meier's Civilization VII were the leading revenue generators. Several new releases, including Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Avowed, and The Sims 2 Legacy Collection, also entered the top revenue rankings. Sid Meier's Civilization VII not only performed well on PC but also had a strong debut on PlayStation, where it entered the chart at thirteenth place. Additionally, Destiny 2 reappeared in the PlayStation top 20, showing renewed player interest.

Xbox platforms saw a similar pattern, with Monster Hunter Wilds, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, PGA Tour 2K25, Avowed, and Sid Meier's Civilization VII all securing spots in the revenue rankings. On Nintendo Switch, there was only one new entry in the top 20—Sid Meier's Civilization VII. Interestingly, the best-selling games on the Switch were not traditional Nintendo titles but Fortnite and Hello Kitty Island Adventure, reflecting shifting preferences among players on the platform.

Changes in MAU Rankings Across All Platforms

The MAU rankings across platforms remained relatively stable, with the most significant development being the addition of R.E.P.O., which debuted at twelfth place. This movement indicates a growing and sustained interest in the game among players.

On PC, the top 20 MAU rankings included new entries such as R.E.P.O., Schedule I, and FragPunk, suggesting that players are increasingly engaging with recently released titles. Xbox also experienced some changes, with Assassin's Creed Shadows and Atomfall joining the list of the most active games. Meanwhile, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch platforms showed minimal variation in their MAU standings compared to the previous month.
