The collaboration centers on the game Color Water Sort, which has achieved over 130 million downloads globally on iOS and Android.

The integration introduces a new feature known as Reward Mode, an in-game system that allows players to earn cryptocurrency rewards without requiring any prior knowledge of blockchain technology. Built using Unique Network's software development kits and supported by Polkadot's infrastructure, the feature embeds rewards, user identity, and ownership elements directly into the gaming experience without disrupting gameplay.

Early User Growth and Technical Integration
In less than six months, the integration has added more than 650,000 new users to the Polkadot ecosystem. This figure approaches TapNation's initial user milestone of 734,366, demonstrating strong early adoption of the new reward system. Unique Network cofounder Alexander Mitrovich confirmed that the technical foundation enabling this integration has existed for some time and now operates on Polkadot's main chain, known as the Asset Hub.
TapNation's head of web3, Philippe Lenormand, explained that the use of Unique Network's SDKs simplified the integration process. The blockchain components function in the background, allowing the development team to focus primarily on maintaining the quality of the gameplay experience. Future updates are expected to build on this foundation by offering players greater control over their in-game profiles and identities.

Measured Impact on Player Behavior and Monetization
The integration has already shown quantifiable benefits for TapNation. In a sample group of 150,000 players, those using Reward Mode generated 89 percent more advertising revenue compared to users who did not engage with the web3 functionality. Player retention and the number of sessions per user increased by 16 percent. These results suggest that blockchain rewards can enhance engagement and revenue without relying on speculative market behavior.
Charu Sethi, president of Unique Network, stated that the project's objective was to deliver measurable outcomes for both the Polkadot ecosystem and its commercial partners. Rather than focusing on NFT trading or marketplace speculation, the approach prioritizes the use of blockchain infrastructure to support identity, rights management, and player engagement.

Plans for Expanded NFT Integration
As part of the next phase of the collaboration, Unique Network and TapNation plan to introduce non-fungible tokens into their gaming ecosystem. These NFTs will take the form of achievement-based digital assets that can unlock VIP passes and other exclusive benefits as players progress in games such as Color Water Sort and Webmaster. The implementation will begin once players reach specific milestones within the games.
These digital assets will not be labeled or marketed as NFTs. Instead, they will serve as background infrastructure for managing player identity and ownership in a way that feels natural and non-intrusive within the user experience.
Unique Network is advancing this approach through its NFTMozaic initiative, which aims to expand the functional use of NFTs in gaming, digital rights, and fan engagement. The initiative reflects a broader strategy to bring web3 technologies into practical, user-focused applications that deliver value beyond headlines.
