The backlog is about to get a lot heavier. Microsoft has kicked off the Xbox Deals Unlocked Sale 2026, and the numbers are hard to ignore: over 1,800 games discounted, with more than 2,000 individual deals across the Xbox Store. The sale is live right now and runs until June 10.
Deals Unlocked sale now live
This is one of the biggest annual discount events on the platform, and this year's lineup punches well above its weight. You can browse the full selection through the Deals section of the Microsoft Store app on your console, or directly via the Deals Unlocked page on the Xbox website.
The discounts that actually matter
Here's the thing: most sale events pad their numbers with filler. This one has genuine standouts at every price tier.
At the deep-cut end, Control Ultimate Edition sits at just $3.99 (90% off), which is practically free for one of the best third-person action games of the last decade. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is $9.99 at 80% off, and Alan Wake Remastered drops to $4.49 at 85% off. These are not games you want to skip at those prices.
Mid-range deals are just as compelling. DOOM: The Dark Ages hits $23.09 at 67% off, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition (including the Phantom Liberty expansion) lands at $39.99 for 50% off, and Silent Hill 2 is $34.99 at half price. Resident Evil 4 (the remake) is only $9.99 at 75% off, which is the kind of deal that makes you question why you waited.
For players who want something more recent, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is already discounted 25% to $37.49, and Split Fiction is $34.99 at 30% off. Both released earlier this year.

What this means for your wallet (and your backlog)
The key here is that this sale covers a genuinely wide release window. You have titles from 2017 (Hellblade) sitting alongside games that launched in 2026 (Clair Obscur, Split Fiction, Battlefield 6). That range makes it useful whether you're catching up on years-old classics or snagging something recent at a first discount.
What most players miss in sales this size is that the deepest cuts are rarely the newest games. Control at $3.99 and Quantum Break at $7.99 represent some of the best value in gaming history at those prices. Both are worth owning outright even if you've already played them via Game Pass.
For anyone building out their knowledge of the Xbox library before diving into new releases, our game reviews can help sort the must-plays from the ones worth skipping even at steep discounts.
The sale wraps on June 10, so there's a reasonable window to weigh your options. If you want context on how to prioritize your picks or navigate what's worth your time, the gaming guides hub has you covered on the titles worth your attention this year.
