YGG Play, the publishing division of Yield Guild Games (YGG), has signed its first third-party publishing deal with Gigaverse, a web3 role-playing game from developer GLHF. Until now, YGG Play concentrated on its own title, LOL Land. Publishing Gigaverse signals a shift toward broader involvement in the web3 game publishing space.

Gigaverse launched in February 2024 and has pulled in over $6 million in annualized revenue in just three months. That happened without investor backing, paid marketing campaigns, or influencer deals. The game grew through organic community activity and player referrals.

YGG Play and Gigaverse launched a crossover campaign to kick off the partnership. LOL Land now includes a new board called Gigaland, styled after the Gigaverse world. Gigaverse added exclusive LOL Land character skins. Both additions are time-limited. The games run on Abstract, a blockchain platform built for accessibility.

YGG Play plans to help Gigaverse expand by offering support in user acquisition, marketing, and community building. The goal is to bring Gigaverse to players already familiar with YGG's ecosystem.

Smart contract revenue model removes middleman delays

The publishing agreement uses a smart contract-based revenue sharing system. Most publishers handle revenue distribution off-chain, which creates delays and opacity. YGG Play's model runs entirely onchain. Revenue-sharing terms are written into smart contracts, so both developers and publishers can track and verify payments as they happen. This cuts down on admin work and builds trust.

Gabby Dizon, co-founder of YGG, said Gigaverse fits YGG Play's emphasis on games that are easy to pick up, fun to play, and designed for web3 users. Both LOL Land and Gigaverse aim to serve casual players and blockchain enthusiasts without forcing one group to compromise.

Creator campaign promotes crossover content

YGG Play and Gigaverse launched a creator campaign to promote the partnership and in-game crossover. Several streamers and content creators are involved: Elisa from the Abstract Chain community, YellowPanther (Content Creator of the Year at our GAM3 Awards 2024), Iceyyy (host of Gaming Daily), Raiden (founder of Kronicles and now a Creator Strategist at YGG), and Storming (leader of Brazil's Tempest Gaming Guild). They're showcasing gameplay and driving discussion around the crossover features and the web3 gaming scene.

Gigaverse built on community, not capital

Gigaverse stands out in web3 gaming for how it was made. GLHF developed the game without outside investment or paid marketing. Dith, who previously worked on Pirate Nation and Proof of Play, led the project.

Before Gigaverse, Dith launched an NFT collection called GLHFers with no roadmap. It hit over 1,300 ETH in trading volume. A year later, holders got access to Gigaverse. A second collection, the Gigaverse ROM series, dropped in February 2025 and sold out in ten minutes, generating over $1 million in trading volume.

Gigaverse centers on short gameplay sessions with risk-reward mechanics. The team updates the game monthly with new features and loops, keeping players and streamers engaged. Both LOL Land and Gigaverse are live now. Visit LOL.Land and Gigaverse.io to play.
