YGG Play, the publishing arm of Yield Guild Games (YGG), has signed Proof of Play as its latest third-party publishing partner. Through the partnership, YGG Play will provide support through growth marketing, player acquisition, and its smart contract-enforceable revenue share model to boost awareness and expand the existing player base for the Proof of Play Arcade - a platform designed to foster more accessible and sustainable gaming experiences.
Proof of Play Arcade is designed to be a frictionless experience that bridges the gap between casual gamers and blockchain gamers. Co-founded by Amitt Mahajan, former Zynga executive and co-creator of FarmVille, and Adam Fern, founding team member of the financial services platform Cash App, Proof of Play is known for driving innovation across game modes, mechanics, and on-chain technical expertise.

The announcement comes ahead of the debut of the YGG Play Launchpad, a platform that connects Casual Degen games and players through game discovery, questing, and a token launcher. Proof of Play Arcade will be integrated into the YGG Play Launchpad as part of the initial lineup of games when the platform goes live on October 15, 2025.

Building Casual Degen Games

With its release, players will be able to earn YGG Play points, which determine their priority access during Launchpad events. Points can also be boosted by staking $YGG. The YGG Play Launchpad will introduce its first token, $LOL, through a two-season play-to-airdrop campaign.
