A limited-time event has landed in Roblox A Dusty Trip, and it revolves around a brand-new currency called Nuts & Bolts. The Mechanic's Shop gives you six exclusive rewards to chase, with the headline prize being the Kairo 7, a Legendary sports car you can't get anywhere else. The shop closes on October 4, 2026, so time is short and knowing exactly where to spend your effort matters.

How do you start the Mechanic's Shop event?

The entry point is simpler than most events. Pit Crew Pete stands in the center of the lobby, and talking to him opens the full Mechanic's Shop menu. Every reward is listed there with both a Nuts & Bolts price and an optional Robux price. There's no level gate and no prerequisite quest. Walk up, interact, and the shop is yours.

How do you farm Nuts & Bolts fast?

Every item in the shop costs Nuts & Bolts, so your main job during each run is collecting as many as possible. There are two sources, and they aren't equal.

Kill red-helmet mutants

Mutants wearing red helmets are the fastest and most reliable source. They drop Nuts & Bolts on death, and the key is finding spots where several spawn close together rather than hunting them one at a time across open desert. Ghost Town is one of the better locations because you can clear a tight cluster in a single pass.

Bring your highest-damage weapon. The Kairo 7 requires 1,000 Nuts & Bolts, which means a lot of kills. Cutting the time each mutant takes to go down compounds across a full farming session in a way that really adds up.

Loot Toolboxes near POIs

Toolboxes scatter around the map near Points of Interest such as houses and garages. Each one yields roughly 20 Nuts & Bolts. Pick them up whenever you drive past one, but don't structure your run around them. Reaching 1,000 Nuts & Bolts through Toolboxes alone would require about 50 boxes, and they don't spawn densely enough to match a good mutant-farming route.

Think of Toolboxes as a passive bonus on top of your mutant kills, not a primary strategy.

What are all the Mechanic's Shop rewards?

The shop holds six items across multiple rarity tiers. Here's the full breakdown:

RewardRarityNuts & BoltsRobuxNotes
Kairo 7Legendary1,000319New sports car, permanent unlock
Junkyard ShotgunUncommon40079Solid damage, removed after event
Checkered Heat WrapRare30059Car skin
Ancient VisorEpic20055One-time save from lethal damage
Shrapnel GrenadeRare13039Bursts on impact, sprays shrapnel nearby
Checkered Flags CharmUncommon7919Cosmetic charm

Buying everything costs 2,109 Nuts & Bolts in total, or 570 Robux if you'd rather skip the grind entirely. The Kairo 7 accounts for nearly half that cost on its own.

Which reward should you buy first?

Spend your first 1,000 Nuts & Bolts on the Kairo 7. It's the only Legendary item, it's a permanent unlock, and it's the whole reason the event exists. Everything else is secondary.

Once the car is yours, the Ancient Visor at 200 Nuts & Bolts is the strongest remaining pick. A one-time save from lethal damage can rescue a long run at exactly the wrong moment, and that kind of utility holds real value.

Skip prioritizing the Junkyard Shotgun early. At 400 Nuts & Bolts it's the second most expensive item, and it disappears from storage when the event ends. You'd be spending a significant chunk of your currency on a temporary weapon.

What are the Kairo 7 car stats?

After testing the Kairo 7 across desert runs, the performance numbers hold up well for a Legendary tier vehicle. Here's what you get:

StatValue
Top speed234 km/h (145 mph)
Fuel tank30 liters (7.93 gallons)
Water5 liters
Engine4 liters

The top speed of 234 km/h puts it firmly in the upper tier for desert traversal. The 30-liter fuel tank is generous enough to cover serious distance between refuels.
