Valor Mortis Release Date, Platforms, Game Pass & Price
Everything you need to know about Valor Mortis: launch date, release times, platforms, Game Pass, price, and what's in the Deluxe Edition.
How Long Does It Take To Beat Valor Mortis?
Find out how long Valor Mortis takes to beat, from the main story to a full completionist run, with time estimates for every playstyle.
Valor Mortis is One More Level's first-person Soulslike set in an alternate-history 19th-century Europe, following a soldier resurrected after death. The studio behind Ghostrunner is going all-in on accessibility at launch, skipping pre-orders entirely and making the game available through subscription services from day one. If you have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription, you can jump straight in on October 13 without paying a cent extra.
Yes. Valor Mortis launches directly into Xbox Game Pass on October 13, 2026, the same day it releases on all platforms. This is a true day-one inclusion, not a delayed addition weeks or months after launch. Subscribers on Xbox Series X|S can start playing the moment the game goes live without any separate purchase.
PC Game Pass via Xbox app
Yes. PC Game Pass subscribers can access Valor Mortis through the Xbox app on PC when it launches. Microsoft's PC Game Pass library page confirms the game's inclusion. The PC version is also releasing on Steam separately, so players without a Game Pass subscription can buy it there instead.
Yes. Xbox Cloud Gaming is one of the confirmed platforms for the Game Pass release. That means you can stream the game without installing it locally, as long as cloud gaming is available on your subscription tier and in your region. It's a solid option for players who want to test the game before committing storage space.
Valor Mortis is not a full PS Plus game, but PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers get a 90-minute free trial at launch. That's enough time to get a real feel for the combat system, parries, dashes, and supernatural abilities before deciding whether to buy. Standard and Extra PS Plus tiers do not include this trial.
For players who want to own the game outright, Valor Mortis is priced at $39.99 for the Standard Edition. A Deluxe Edition is also available, which includes a major story DLC at no additional cost when it releases later. Standard Edition buyers get the base game only.
| Edition | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $39.99 | Base game |
| Deluxe Edition | Higher price | Base game + major story DLC |
For players already subscribed to Game Pass, the $39.99 purchase price is irrelevant until your subscription lapses. The Deluxe Edition's story DLC inclusion is the main reason to consider buying outright rather than playing through the subscription.

Is Valor Mortis free with Game Pass? Yes, you can play it without a separate purchase while your Game Pass subscription is active.
