How does Suoming work?

Suoming cycles between two states: Awakened Mind (her default form) and Deep Mind (her combat form). Her Intro Skill sends her directly into Deep Mind, which is where all her real damage lives. In Deep Mind, her Basic Attacks become the 4-stage Unfurled Canopy combo, and holding Normal Attack after Stage 2 chains into Whirling Thunder.

Her Forte gauge, called Delusion, holds up to 800 points. Attacks, her Resonance Liberation (+200), and certain Intro Skills (+200) fill it. At 800 Delusion in Deep Mind, her Resonance Skill becomes Unforsaken Mind, which chains into Engraved Heart, a channelled finisher that locks Suoming in place but grants full DMG and interruption immunity during the cast.

Red Spring is Camellya's signature, so pulling it specifically for Suoming is hard to justify. But if you already own a copy, it performs very close to Unspoken Rue in the main DPS role because Suoming consumes Concerto when activating Seal Master, which triggers the 40% bonus. Its value drops in Unison teams where she does not consume Concerto on the swap.

The Energy Regen helps Suoming fire off Miasma Lock consistently without sacrificing offensive Echo substats to chase a specific threshold. A perfectly reasonable weapon to use while deciding whether her signature is worth the Astrite.

Lumingloss (best 4-star option)

Base ATK: 388 | Secondary stat: ATK 36.5%

Passive: Casting Resonance Skill increases Basic Attack DMG Bonus and Heavy Attack DMG Bonus by 20% for 10s (stacks once, triggers every second).

Lumingloss is locked behind the Battle Pass, but it fits Suoming's kit cleanly. Rift Cleaver triggers the passive every rotation. The main downside is the lack of any CRIT stat, so your Echoes need to compensate with heavier CRIT rolls.

Moonlit Clouds (situational sub-DPS alternative)

At S0 with non-signature weapons, Moonlit Clouds with Impermanence Heron as the Main Echo performs at nearly the same level as Heart of Sworn Vigil in Unison team setups. If you already have a well-rolled Moonlit Clouds set from building previous characters, it is a valid placeholder. Both Hsin and Suoming can trigger Unison Response, so each swap builds Unison Boon stacks. Each stack increases total DMG dealt by 3% for Resonators who can trigger Unison Response, up to 2 stacks.

Suoming gives Jinhsi Unison Boon and 25% Resonance Skill DMG Amplification via Aligned Seals. Jinhsi benefits from the Resonance Skill amplification, though Suoming adds fewer Coordinated Attacks than Jinhsi's usual partners. Verina covers that gap.

• Burning Unison on the wrong action. Deciding between Seal Master and Aligned Seals must happen before you cast anything after Miasma Lock. There is no recovery if you accidentally trigger one when you intended the other.
• Staying in Awakened Mind too long. All of Suoming's meaningful damage is in Deep Mind. If you are not entering via Intro or her Forte transition, you are losing damage.
• Starting Engraved Heart at the wrong moment. Suoming cannot move, dodge, or swap during the channelled portion of Engraved Heart. Use it during a boss stagger or a committed enemy attack window.
