Wuthering Waves Lynae kit leak: Skill ...
# Wuthering Waves Lynae Build Guide: Best Weapons, Echoes, and Teams

Who is Lynae and why should you pull her?

Lynae is a 5-star Spectro Pistol resonator from Lahai-Roi — the first character from that region. She works as a sub-DPS and team buffer built around the Tune Break mechanic that launched in Version 3.0. Her Outro delivers 15% All DMG Amplification and 25% Resonance Liberation DMG Amplification to whoever swaps in next, while her Liberation skill, Prismatic Overblast, grants a flat 24% All DMG Bonus to the entire team for 30 seconds. Those universal buffs let her fit into almost any lineup without needing specific element matches. She needs real on-field time to work, so skip her if you only run quickswap rotations.

What makes Lynae strong in the current meta?

Lynae's strength comes from three converging factors. Her buffs work with any element, so she improves basically every DPS instead of a handful. She can enable both Tune Rupture and Tune Strain by switching modes in the Character Skill Menu — the only resonator with that flexibility. And her Visual Impact ability gives all nearby teammates 40 points of Tune Break Boost for 30 seconds, which stacks with the Tune Break scaling every post-3.0 character has been designed around.

As more characters release with Tune Break kits, Lynae's value keeps climbing. She forms half of the community's Tune Break Core pairing alongside Mornye.

info
Switch Lynae between Tune Rupture and Tune Strain modes in the Character Skill Menu. Match her mode to your DPS character's Tune Break type for maximum damage.

Lynae's core gameplay loop explained

Lynae's rotation revolves around two resource meters: Overflow and Lumiflow. The loop works like this:

  • Swap in via Intro Skill, which instantly grants 100 Overflow and applies Photochromic Flux to enemies
  • Use Resonance Skill (Lynae-Style Palettes) to fill more Overflow
  • Cast Prismatic Overblast (Liberation) for the 24% team DMG Bonus, then follow with a Basic Attack
  • Hold the Heavy Attack (Spark Collision) for 1.6 seconds to convert all 120 Overflow into Lumiflow at 1:1 — she cannot be interrupted and takes 50% less damage while charging
  • This activates Kaleidoscopic Parade, swapping her movement to roller skating and her Jump to Polychrome Leap
  • Execute three Polychrome Leaps (each costs 40 Lumiflow and generates one True Color stack)
  • With three True Color stacks, press Normal Attack mid-air to trigger Visual Impact (25-second cooldown), dealing heavy Spectro DMG and granting the 40-point Tune Break Boost
  • Swap out via Outro to transfer buffs to the next character

Spark Collision damage scales with Lumiflow generation: Level 1 below 50%, Level 2 between 50–99%, Level 3 at full 120 points. Always target Level 3.

What is the best build for Lynae?

Recommended sub-DPS build

Recommended main DPS build

For substats, prioritize CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, Basic Attack DMG, ATK%, Energy Regen, Flat ATK in that order. Target around 120% Energy Regen for smooth rotations. A solid endgame target sits around 50–80% CRIT Rate, 250–280% CRIT DMG, and 2000+ ATK.

danger
If you're still farming the new Pact of Neonlight Leap set, Moonlit Clouds works as a placeholder. It provides Energy Regen and ATK buffs to the next resonator via Outro and pairs well with the Impermanence Heron main echo.

What are the best weapons for Lynae?

Spectrum Blaster is her signature weapon and the obvious best choice. Beyond personal CRIT Rate and Basic Attack DMG bonuses, each time Lynae inflicts Tune Rupture or Tune Strain during Basic Attacks, all team DMG increases by 8% for 30 seconds, stacking up to three times for a total 24% team-wide All DMG Bonus. That team buff alone justifies pulling if you're investing heavily.

Phasic Homogenizer is the best standard 5-star fallback, granting 20% All-Attribute DMG Bonus to Lynae after any team member uses a Tune Break skill. Static Mist trades personal damage for stronger Outro buffing, making it better if you want pure support.

warning
Don't build Lynae around Energy Regen beyond 120% unless your rotation genuinely needs it. Over-investing in ER at the expense of CRIT stats is a common mistake that tanks her personal damage.

What are the best echo sets for Lynae?

Pact of Neonlight Leap (5-piece) is the top pick for sub-DPS. The 5-piece bonus boosts the ATK of the next incoming resonator via Outro, with Tune Break Boost amplifying this up to 15% additional ATK. Paired with the Hyvatia main echo, which grants an extra 10% All-Type DMG Bonus to the next resonator's Intro Skill, the set maximizes her buffing potential.

Moonlit Clouds (5-piece) remains a solid second option while farming the newer set. It provides Energy Regen from the 2-piece and a 22.5% ATK bonus to the next resonator via Outro from the 4-piece. Use Impermanence Heron as the main echo here for additional Resonance Energy and follow-up damage boost.

Rite of Gilded Revelation (5-piece) is built for main DPS Lynae. The 5-piece stacks Spectro DMG Bonus with Basic Attack DMG, and with three stacks active, casting Liberation grants an additional 40% Basic Attack DMG Bonus. Both Spectro DMG and Basic Attack DMG are her primary personal damage types, so this set lands cleanly.

All three builds use the 4-3-3-1-1 cost pattern.

What are the best teams for Lynae?

Tune Rupture team (current best)

Loading table...

This is the strongest team in the current meta. Aemeath is the premier Tune Rupture DPS, and Lynae provides All DMG buffs plus Resonance Liberation DMG Amplification that feed directly into Aemeath's kit. Mornye boosts Off-Tune Buildup Rate and adds her own All DMG Amplification on top. If you lack Mornye, Shorekeeper substitutes well by providing CRIT stats and general DMG buffs.

Tune Strain team

Loading table...

This team was added in Version 3.1 Phase 2. All three resonators respond to Tune Strain, meaning the DMG multipliers scale significantly with Tune Break Boost. Set Lynae to Tune Strain Mode in the Character Skills menu before running this comp.

Sun and Moon team

Lynae's Outro feeds 15% All DMG Amplification and 25% Resonance Liberation DMG Amplification to Iuno, who then passes 50% Heavy Attack DMG Amplification to Augusta, who closes the loop with 15% DMG Amplification back to Lynae. The chain is clean and the team functions without a dedicated healer because Iuno's heals and Augusta's shields cover survivability.

Sanhua's Outro provides Basic Attack DMG Amplification directly to Lynae, which pairs perfectly with her Rite of Gilded Revelation set. Mornye increases Off-Tune Buildup Rate so Lynae triggers Tune Break more frequently and also applies the Interfered Marker debuff to boost damage taken by enemies.

Skill priority: what should you level first?

Lynae's Forte Circuit is her primary damage source and the engine of her entire gameplay loop. Level it first, always. Her Resonance Liberation is her second-strongest damage skill and the source of the team-wide 24% DMG Bonus, so it goes second. Normal Attack matters for generating Overflow and for the enhanced Basic Attacks during Kaleidoscopic Parade. Resonance Skill is useful but less impactful than the above three. Intro Skill is low priority since it deals minimal damage and its main function is utility rather than numbers.

How valuable are Lynae's Sequence Nodes?

Lynae performs well at S0. Her Sequence Nodes are genuinely impactful at S2, S3, and S6 if you're investing further.

S1 adds interruption immunity during Polychrome Leap and Visual Impact, extends Spray Paint duration, and restores Overflow passively out of combat. Solid comfort upgrade.

S2 is the standout early node. It grants Lynae herself 25% All DMG Amplification and upgrades her Outro to also give the incoming resonator 25% All DMG Amplification on top of existing buffs. Both her DPS and support output jump meaningfully here.

S3 nearly doubles Visual Impact's damage multiplier (90% increase) and adds the Premixed Hue mechanic to Additive Color, which scales Spectro DMG Bonus up to 25 stacks at 55% each. This is a major personal damage spike.

S4 is a flat 20% ATK increase. Functional but forgettable given what S2 and S3 already do.

S5 increases Prismatic Overblast's multiplier by 70%. Nice damage, but not transformative.

S6 is the capstone. It triples the Lumiflow cap from 120 to 360, keeps Lynae in Kaleidoscopic Parade even after casting Outro, and introduces the Color of Soul mechanic where each stack increases damage taken from Visual Impact and Iridescent Splash by 30% per stack (up to 3). Off-field Kaleidoscopic Parade uptime alone makes this a dramatic quality-of-life and damage upgrade.

Ascension and Forte materials overview

To fully ascend Lynae to level 90, you need 46 Suncoveter's Reach (World Boss drop), 60 Rimewisp (overworld material), tiered Exoswarm Cores from normal enemies, and 170,000 Shell Credits. For Forte, the main cost is 2,030,000 Shell Credits alongside tiered Combustor materials from Forgery Challenges and 26 Dreamless Feathers from the weekly boss.

info
Start farming Rimewisp in Lahai-Roi early. It's a time-gated overworld material and the 60 required for full ascension can take several days to accumulate if you start late.
