The Gun Store Weapons Locker is one of the more rewarding locked caches in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. There are two separate Gun Store locations on the map, each hiding a set of locked weapon lockers that require a specific key to open. Get in, crack one open, and you walk away with a rare gun and potentially a weapon manual or crafting recipe. Here is exactly where to go and how to get the key before you deploy.

Where are the Gun Store Weapons Locker locations in MW4 DMZ?
There are two Gun Store buildings on the DMZ map, both identifiable by the same exterior sign: a winking anime mascot holding a gun. Spot that logo and you have found the right building.
Cheongun Village
The first and most commonly visited location sits in Cheongun Village, in the northern part of the South Korea map. The Gun Store is directly west of the Police Station, which is a named landmark that appears on the map. The Heavenly Luck Casino is also nearby to the east, which makes this area useful for back-to-back loot runs if you are already heading that direction.
Once inside the Gun Store, do not stop on the ground floor. Head downstairs to find the weapon lockers. Several lockers in the room are already accessible without a key, but three of them are locked. Your Gun Store Weapons Locker Key opens exactly one of the three, and since the loot inside is randomly generated, it does not matter which one you pick.
Songdo Wharf
The second location is at Northern Songdo Wharf, in the furthest north building to the left of the gas station. Look for the same winking mascot logo on the exterior. This location is generally quieter than Cheongun Village, making it the safer choice if you want to use your key without a firefight.
Inside, head to the back room on the right and take the stairs down. The locked weapon lockers are at the bottom. Same rules apply: one key, one locker, random loot.
What loot do you get from the Gun Store Weapons Locker?
The reward from each locked locker is randomized, but the pool is consistent. Expect at least one gun, usually rated Rare, along with a chance at a weapon manual or a crafting recipe. Weapon manuals are particularly valuable since they unlock Gunsmith weapons in DMZ. Check out the full breakdown of all Gunsmith weapons and how to unlock them if you want to know which manuals are worth prioritizing.
| Locker Location | Floor | Locked Lockers | Key Required | Loot Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cheongun Village | Downstairs | 3 | Gun Store Weapons Locker Key | Rare gun, weapon manual, recipe (random) |
| Northern Songdo Wharf | Back room, downstairs | Multiple | Gun Store Weapons Locker Key | Rare gun, weapon manual, recipe (random) |
How do you get the Gun Store Weapons Locker Key?
There are two reliable ways to get the key without relying on luck.
- Reach DMZ level 16 to unlock the Equipment Kit, which contains a Gun Store Weapons Locker Key.
- Reach DMZ level 42 to unlock the Trap Equipment Kit, which also contains one.
Both are free rewards tied to DMZ progression, so if you are grinding levels anyway, the keys will come naturally. Outside of those two milestones, the key can drop as random loot while exploring the DMZ map, but there are no guaranteed spawn points for it in the wild.

Should you go to Cheongun Village or Songdo Wharf?
The honest answer depends on what else you are doing that deployment. If your route already takes you through Cheongun Village for the Casino or the Police Station, the Gun Store is a short detour to the west. If you are working the northern coast, Songdo Wharf is the cleaner option and far less likely to have enemy operators camping the area.
For players who want to pair the Gun Store run with other high-value loot stops, the Coin Mining Den key location is another electronics-heavy cache worth hitting on the same deployment if your route lines up.
