Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Review
10/10
I'm not a turn-based RPG fan, I've never been. But Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 hooked me in the first thirty minutes and didn't let go for 80 hours straight until I platinumed it. What Sandfall Interactive accomplished here is genuinely astonishing. They somehow created something that feels entirely its own. The combat is surprisingly engaging, but so is your build strategy. The story hits harder than most recent titles, and I've felt nothing like it since the first Last of Us game. And that soundtrack? Instantly saved on my Spotify list. I wasn't early to this game, and I also felt it was overhyped from all the online noise, but when I actually gave it a chance, I realized it deserved all the hype it ever got and will continue to receive for years to come. This is a once-in-a-generation game that deserves every bit of praise it's receiving.
