There are 3 legendary horses scattered across Crimson Desert's world of Prywel, and each one is worth the detour. Royler, Rokade, and Camora each specialize in a different area, speed, survivability, and combat, so the right pick depends entirely on how you play. The catch: you need solid stamina before attempting any of them, and one lives in a freezing biome that will drain your health the whole time you're trying to tame it.
What Do You Need to Tame Legendary Horses?
The stamina requirement is not optional. All 3 legendary horses will fight back during the taming mini-game, and if your stamina runs out, you get thrown. Low stamina means less control over the horse and a much harder time keeping pace with its movements.
For Royler specifically, the snowy environment in the Pailun region applies a cold debuff that chips away at your health throughout the attempt. Bringing ice resistance gear and consumables makes the process considerably less painful. Reaching stamina level 10 is a reasonable target before going after any of the legendaries, and respeccing into stamina just for this is a legitimate strategy.

Here's a quick reference before the full breakdowns:
Royler location in Crimson Desert
Royler is the white legendary horse and almost certainly the first one you'll encounter. Head to the Pailun region and look for the Snowgrass Hearth camp near the small pond sitting just below the "P" in Pailune on your map. The horse wanders around this area.
Royler is the fastest of the three, with Level 4 movement speed compared to Level 3 on the other two. His skill set is also unique: he gets Instant Acceleration at Level 3 and a horse-exclusive ability called Consecutive Instant Acceleration at Level 5, which neither Rokade nor Camora have. He also leads all horses in stamina stats, making him an excellent all-rounder for traversal.
The cold environment is the main obstacle here. Your health will drop from the frost debuff the entire time you're in the area, so stack ice resistance before you go. On controller, hold back on the left stick and keep the camera centered behind the horse rather than trying to match the tail direction exactly as described in the mini-game tooltip.

Rokade location in Crimson Desert
Rokade is the black legendary horse, and he's arguably the easiest of the three to tame once you know where to look. Find him wandering near the pool to the west of the Spire of Insight in southern Hernand, in the Steel Mountains region. The horse is hard to miss given how intensely black his coat is against the terrain.
His defining stat is health. Rokade has nearly twice the health pool of Royler, which according to PC Gamer's testing may make him the tankiest mount in the entire game. If you take a lot of hits while mounted or just want a horse that can absorb punishment in combat encounters, Rokade is the practical choice.
The Hernand climate is temperate, so there are no environmental debuffs eating into your stamina or health during the tame. That makes this attempt more forgiving than Royler's.
Camora location in Crimson Desert
Camora is the red legendary horse and the hardest to navigate to. Head to the Redtree Forest in the Tashkalp region, specifically a cavern meadow filled with flowers in the rainforest area. The location sits far southeast of Tommaso, east of the Sanctum of Renunciation, and west of the Red River. If you haven't unlocked the regional map yet, ring the bell in Tommaso to trigger the Toll of Pywel quest first.
Camora has the highest attack and defense stats of the three, making her the go-to pick if you want to actively use horse combat skills against enemies. The red and white markings make her recognizable, but the dense forest can make the camera awkward during the tame. Try to herd Camora into an open area before mounting so the camera doesn't get pinned against the terrain.
danger
The Redtree Forest is dense enough to trap your camera during the taming attempt. Nudge Camora toward a clearing before you start.
How to Tame Legendary Horses
The taming process for legendary horses works the same way as regular wild horses. Once you mount the horse, the mini-game begins. The standard instruction is to point your left analog stick toward the direction of the horse's tail, repeating this consistently without being thrown off.
Holding S on keyboard (or pulling back on the left stick on controller) while keeping the camera centered behind the horse works better than trying to track the tail direction precisely. You need to succeed multiple times in a row without falling to complete the tame and add the horse to your stable.
