White Bear mount in Crimson Desert ...

Three of the most sought-after mounts in Crimson Desert are hiding in snow-covered peaks and locked behind faction quests, and most players walk right past them. The White Bear, Snowwhite Deer, and Silver Fang are permanent Legendary mounts added in update 1.00.1 by Pearl Abyss, and each one requires a different approach to unlock. Here's exactly where to find them and how to turn them into rideable companions for good.

What you need to know before hunting Legendary mounts

Before heading out, there's one system that ties all three mounts together: the Sigil of Solidarity. After you kill and skin a Legendary creature, you'll receive a unique material from its body. Take that material to any Witch in the game (the most accessible being Elowen, found at the Witch's House in The Witchwoods, southwest of Hernand) and navigate to Craft Abyss Gear > Special Items. There you can exchange the creature's material for the corresponding Sigil of Solidarity, which you then activate from your inventory to permanently add the mount to your collection.

The catch: you need to have reached Chapter 5 and completed the Guest Unbidden – Black and White quest before Elowen becomes available. The creatures themselves can be fought earlier, but you won't be able to convert the materials into a mount until that story milestone is reached.

How to get the White Bear mount

The White Bear lives on a mountainside near Five Finger Mountain in the Pailune region. The fastest route there is through the White Waste Sanctuary, which has an Abyss Nexus fast travel point directly on site. From the Sanctuary, head south a short distance and you'll spot the bear resting on the cliffs with its cubs.

This is an aggressive creature that hits hard at close range. A few things to keep in mind before engaging:

  • Pull the White Bear away from the cliff edge first. Getting knocked off means a death that has nothing to do with the bear's actual damage.
  • The Frozen Anguish weapon performs well here given the range it provides against the bear's heavy swipes.
  • Focus on dodging the wide combo attacks rather than trading hits.

Once defeated, interact with the body to collect the White Bear Claws and unlock the White Bear Knowledge entry. Both are required before you can craft the mount at Elowen's.

Crafting the White Bear mount

With the claws and Knowledge in hand, head to Elowen and follow this path:

  • Access the vendor menu and select Craft Abyss Gear
  • Press R2/RT to switch to the Special Items tab
  • Select Sigil of Solidarity (White Bear) and craft it
  • Open your inventory, find the Sigil under Key Items, and select Use
  • Hold Down on the D-Pad, use the Right Stick to highlight your mount slot, and press R2/RT to swap to the White Bear

How to get the Snowwhite Deer mount

The Snowwhite Deer is located in Pailune, specifically around the letter "A" in the map label "Pailune" — which puts it in the Silver Wolf Mountain area, just west of the Sanctum of Solace. There's an Abyss Nexus nearby, making fast travel to this spot straightforward once you've activated it.

This one plays completely differently from the White Bear. The Snowwhite Deer won't fight back at all — it just runs. That makes it trickier in its own way.

  • Approach directly and it bolts. Use your Aerial Force Palm ability followed by Glide to chase it down.
  • Hitting it with arrows is another reliable way to slow its movement if you can't corner it against the rocky terrain.
  • Keep landing combo attacks to stagger it and chip down its health.

Kill and skin it to receive the Snowwhite Deer Antlers, then follow the same crafting process at any Witch to get the Sigil of Solidarity (Snowwhite Deer).

Snowwhite Deer stats

According to GameRant's testing data, the Snowwhite Deer has the following base stats:

The Snowwhite Deer can Charge using R2/RT, which burns Stamina to accelerate and ram through enemies with its antlers. Speed is decent but falls short of a Legendary Horse. Like all non-horse Legendary mounts, it cannot be upgraded or levelled up.

How to get the Silver Fang mount

The Silver Fang has the most involved unlock path of the three. You can't just find it in the open world — you need to earn access to it.

Start by completing faction quests in Hernand. Finishing enough of these unlocks the Legendary Wolf quest chain. That quest sends you to fight the Black Fang wolf first. Defeat the Black Fang, and the Silver Fang's location becomes accessible: the Howling Hollow cave.

Inside Howling Hollow, you'll find the Silver Fang surrounded by smaller wolves. The same rules apply as with the White Bear — don't let it run, keep your distance with a ranged or mid-range weapon, and drain its stamina to bring it down.

The Silver Fang is worth the extra legwork. According to the source material, this mount actively helps in combat situations, making it a functional choice beyond just aesthetics.

Which Legendary mount should you prioritize?

If you're still working toward Chapter 5, the White Bear and Snowwhite Deer are both accessible in Pailune and can be killed ahead of time — just save the materials for when Elowen is available. The Silver Fang requires more active quest progression in Hernand, so that one ties directly into your story pace.

For players who want a mount that pulls its weight in fights rather than just looking good, the Silver Fang has the edge. The White Bear wins on sheer presence and is the easiest combat encounter of the three. The Snowwhite Deer sits in the middle — annoying to catch but genuinely fun to ride once you have it.
