Overview
Dying Light 2: Stay Human is Techland's open-world action RPG about navigating an infected city through agility and close-range violence. Villedor's buildings create routes above the streets, while human conflict and roaming zombies make movement as important as fighting.
The core loop connects exploration, scavenging, and encounters with the city's inhabitants. Players search for loot, confront threats, and use the surrounding architecture to keep moving. The game is available on Windows PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
How does parkour shape combat?
Parkour serves as both a travel system and a way to survive fights. Aiden can cross rooftops, swing across gaps, and use ziplines, turning the city's vertical layout into a set of possible approaches and exits.

- Rooftop traversal
- Swinging across gaps
- Zipline escape routes
- Parkour combat moves
- Melee weapon dismemberment
Movement also feeds into offensive play. Aiden's agility helps him get the jump on enemies, while weapons support smashing, slicing, and severing limbs. Combat draws its identity from the connection between physical movement and bloody impacts, with attacks extending beyond weapon swings.

Retreat remains a practical option when a confrontation becomes too dangerous. A route used to reach loot can also provide an escape, so learning how buildings connect has value beyond reaching the next destination. Choosing whether to fight or flee is part of navigating Villedor.
A city split by daylight
Aiden Caldwell is a Pilgrim, a traveler who carries goods and news between scattered settlements. His reason for entering Villedor is personal: he searches for his sister Mia, with the trauma of Dr. Waltz's experiments tying that search to his childhood.
Villedor's survivors maintain relationships and routines, but factions, bandits, and scarce supplies keep the settlement under pressure. Human opponents complicate a world already occupied by infected enemies. Finding other people does not necessarily mean finding safety, and Aiden's journey involves making allies within a divided community.

The day-night cycle changes who controls the streets. After sunset, infected emerge from dark interiors and spread through the city. An exploration route is therefore more than a line between objectives: the time of day changes the danger along it, adding another consideration to scavenging and travel.
What can players do in co-op?
Dying Light 2: Stay Human supports co-op for up to 4 players. Groups can follow the story together, bringing shared exploration and combat into Aiden's adventure.

Pilgrim Outpost challenges offer another activity for groups, while free exploration leaves room for unstructured sessions taking on enemies across the city. The co-op appeal combines shared objectives with parkour that remains useful between fights, keeping the journey across Villedor part of the action.
