Far Far West Beginner Guide: Tips to ...

The Canyon map in Far Far West is hiding more than just bosses and gold veins. Tucked across its four compass points is a secret mission that most players walk past without realizing it exists: collect four medallions, insert them into a hidden door, and walk away with a chest full of gold and an exclusive Joker card. The whole thing can be done on any difficulty, and since runs have no timer, there's zero pressure to rush.

Where are all the medallions in Far Far West Canyon?

The four medallions are spread across the west, north, east, and center of the map. Here's a quick reference before the full breakdown:

The recommended order is west, then north, then east, and finally the Sheriff's medallion last. That last one sits right next to the secret door, so grabbing it final saves you backtracking.

How to get Hawkeye's medallion (Focus)

Head to the west side of the map and look for a safe with a counter on it. Around the safe, there are 10 targets to shoot, each marked by a faint blue glow. You can shoot them in any order, though some targets only appear after others have been hit, so work through them methodically rather than hunting randomly.

Once all 10 targets are down, the safe opens and Hawkeye's medallion is yours.

How to get Bobby's medallion (Luck)

This one requires a bit of vertical navigation. Drop down to the bottom of the canyon at its northern point and look for a cave. Inside, you'll find Bobby's body and a crate of dynamite nearby. The path forward is blocked by glowing rocks, and the dynamite is the only way through.

You need around seven sticks of dynamite to blast through all the glowing rocks. The medallion waits at the very end of the cave.

How to get Sweaty's medallion (Greed)

Move to the east side of the map and find the small bridge. Take the zipline down and you'll land near Sweaty's body, surrounded by shovels. The medallion is buried in one of several dirt piles nearby.

Here's the catch: digging turns up either the medallion or a skull, so it can feel like a lottery. Based on community testing documented by Dot Esports, the medallion consistently appears in the far-right dirt pile, so start there and save yourself the guesswork.

How to get Sheriff's medallion (Bravery) and open the secret door

Save this one for last. The Sheriff's medallion is in a cave above the south canyon, near the center of the map, and the secret door is right next to it. The medallion sits at the cave's entrance, so pick it up, walk to the door, and slot all four medallions in to complete the mission.

What do you get for completing the Canyon secret mission?

The reward for inserting all four medallions is twofold. First, the cave beyond the door contains multiple Elder Pickaxes and gold veins you can mine with them. Your mining speed gets a significant boost inside, so this is a solid opportunity to farm extra gold during the same run.

Second, and more importantly for build purposes, you unlock the Pick Pick Joker for your weapons. According to Dot Esports, this Joker grants a 5% chance to spawn damaging pickaxes on the target with each hit and occupies two Joker slots. You can push that chance higher by purchasing an additional Joker upgrade for 300 Souls.

Is the Canyon secret worth doing on every run?

Honestly, yes. The run has no timer, so the medallion circuit adds maybe five to ten minutes depending on how quickly you navigate between points. The gold farming alone from the Elder Pickaxe cave makes it worthwhile, and the Pick Pick Joker is genuinely useful on builds that prioritize sustained damage output. Two Joker slots is a real cost, but the extra 300 Souls upgrade stacks the proc chance in a way that starts showing up noticeably in longer fights.

For players still learning the Canyon layout, doing the medallion route also doubles as a solid way to map out the whole area before tackling the main objective. You'll pass through most of the map's key zones in the process.
