Fortnite Guide: How to Register for Fortnite Save the World

Fortnite Save the World is finally opening its doors to more players. Epic Games confirmed that the original PvE mode will soon become free-to-play, giving everyone access without needing to purchase a founder’s pack.

Before the launch, players can pre-register through the official Save the World Community Goals page. Signing up allows players to help unlock community rewards and possibly earn exclusive cosmetics and a free hero.

This guide explains how to register for Fortnite Save the World, what rewards are available, and when players can expect to receive them.

What Is Fortnite Save the World?

Fortnite Save the World was the original mode of Fortnite before the rise of Battle Royale. Instead of competing against other players, Save the World focuses on cooperative PvE gameplay where teams fight back against waves of monsters called the Storm.

Players complete missions, build defenses, collect resources, and unlock heroes and weapons while progressing through story-based zones. For years the mode required a purchase, but Epic Games is now preparing to make it accessible to all players.

The free-to-play launch is scheduled for April 16, and players can already sign up to participate in the community registration event.

How to Register for Fortnite Save the World

Pre-registering only takes a minute and requires an Epic Games account. Once registered, players contribute to community milestones that unlock rewards for everyone.

Follow these steps to complete the registration:

  1. Go to the official Fortnite Save the World registration page.

  2. Click the Register button on the page.

  3. A pop-up will appear. Select Register again.

  4. Sign in using an Epic Games account.

  5. Confirm the process by clicking Let’s Go on the final screen.

Once this is completed, the account will be counted toward the community registration goals.

Players who sign up before the April 16 launch will qualify for the Save the World community rewards once the required milestones are reached.

Fortnite Save the World Community Registration Rewards

Epic Games is offering several rewards through the Save the World community goals. These unlock once enough players complete the registration process.

Three rewards are currently available, including cosmetics and a playable hero.

  • Jess Banner – unlocked when 300,000 players register

  • Kyle’s Construction Spray – unlocked when 700,000 players register

  • Snowstrike Hero – unlocked when 1,000,000 players register

These rewards are tied to the total number of registered players across the community, so every sign-up contributes toward unlocking them.

When Players Receive the Rewards

The timing of reward delivery depends on the item and whether a player already owns Save the World.

Cosmetic rewards such as the banner and spray will be distributed once their respective registration goals are reached.

The Snowstrike Hero works a little differently. Existing Save the World players will receive the hero before the free-to-play launch. New players who register but do not currently own the mode will receive Snowstrike after April 16, once they complete the Save the World tutorial.

Should Players Pre-Register?

Anyone interested in trying Fortnite Save the World should register early. The process is quick and helps unlock rewards for the entire community. Some of the cosmetics may also end up being limited to this event.

With the mode going free-to-play on April 16, this registration event is the easiest way for players to secure extra items before the new wave of players jumps into the cooperative PvE experience.

For players who mainly know Fortnite through Battle Royale, this is also a good chance to explore the original game mode that started it all.
