Spider-Man Fortnite Collab Leaked: Web-Slinging Sprite and More Arriving July 30 - Geeks + Gamers

Update v41.30 is the final major patch for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, and it's packing more content than most mid-season drops. Three new Sprites, a Simpsons-themed Reload map, a Spider-Man crossover, and a full Festival season refresh all land on July 30, 2026. Here's everything confirmed and what to expect once servers come back up.

When does the v41.30 update go live?

The v41.30 update goes live on July 30, 2026, at 4 AM ET. Servers are expected to be down for roughly 2 hours, putting them back online around 6 AM ET. If you want to jump in the moment content unlocks, plan accordingly and keep an eye on Epic's status page during downtime.

What are the three new Sprites in v41.30?

Sprites are the biggest mechanical addition in this patch. Three new ones drop with v41.30, and two of them come with variants. Here's what each one does based on confirmed details:

Loading table...

The Llama Sprite is worth watching closely. A passive loot bonus tied to Pickaxe use sounds minor on paper, but across a full match it adds up fast, especially in Reload where structure farming is constant. The Quack Zero Point Sprite pairs well with aggressive healers, since the Shield Bubble proc on healing items can turn a mid-fight heal into a temporary defensive position.

For full release times, rarity details, and ability breakdowns for each of these three Sprites, check the dedicated Fortnite Peely, Llama, and Quack Zero Point Sprites release date guide.

tip
One of the three new Sprites is expected to become the rarest in the game, potentially displacing the Pollo Sprite from that position. Rarity tier isn't confirmed yet, but leaks point to it being a limited-window unlock.

Beyond the confirmed trio, leaks suggest John Wick, Spider-Man, and Midas Sprites are also in development. John Wick's version may be exclusive to Reload mode. None of these have been officially confirmed for v41.30 specifically, so treat them as likely-but-not-guaranteed.

A Mystery Power Hour is also scheduled for August 1, 2026. Epic hasn't shared details, but based on past Power Hours, expect boosted Sprite Mastery progression or stat multipliers during the window.

Springfield Reloaded

The Simpsons' Springfield map returns, but this time it's been rebuilt for Reload mode under the name Springfield Reloaded. The map goes live shortly after downtime ends on July 30.

The biggest mechanical addition tied to this map is Re-Openable Chests. After a brief cooldown, players can open the same chest again for additional loot. It functions similarly to how bins reset in Apex Legends after each ring closes. This changes the pacing of Reload significantly since revisiting cleared areas becomes viable instead of pointless.

warning
Re-Openable Chests are currently based on leaks, not official patch notes. Treat the mechanic as highly likely but not 100% confirmed until Epic publishes official notes.

New skins tied to the Simpsons collaboration are expected, though no specific cosmetics have been officially revealed yet. Epic is scheduled to share more details, so the full cosmetic lineup should be clearer by the time servers come back online.

Spider-Man Brand New Day

The Spider-Man Brand New Day crossover is officially happening with v41.30. A Spider-Man Brand New Day skin is expected as part of the collab, and leaks point to Punisher and Grey Hulk cosmetics potentially joining the lineup as well.

The more interesting gameplay angle is the rumored Spider-Man Sprite. If it works like leakers suggest, equipping it could bring Web Slingers back as a mobility option. The Batman Sprite already lets players launch into the air and glide short distances, so a Spider-Man Sprite with web-based traversal would fit the existing Sprite ability framework.

Map changes tied to the collab are unlikely. A POI like the Daily Bugle showing up mid-season would be a significant structural change, and nothing in the current leaks supports it.

Festival Season 15: Lil Tecca as the Icon Artist

Lil Tecca is the Icon Artist for Fortnite Festival Season 15, launching alongside v41.30. The collab brings new Jam Tracks, cosmetics, and a Main Stage themed around him. If you've been grinding Festival, this is the update that refreshes the playlist and gives you a new Music Pass to work through.

Festival has been running a consistent cadence with Icon Artist seasons, and Lil Tecca fits the pattern of bringing artists with strong streaming numbers and a younger fanbase that overlaps with Fortnite's player base.

New quests and what they mean for your Battle Pass

v41.30 adds fresh Weekly Quests and Story Quests for Chapter 7 Season 3. Since this is the final major update before the season ends, the XP from these quests is the last reliable push to finish the Runners Battle Pass if you're still working through it.

Hot Bat Summer quests are also getting new additions with this update. If you've been following the DC Summer event, this extends the quest chain and gives you more time to earn rewards before the season wraps.

For a full look at how Sprites have evolved across Chapter 7 Season 3, the Fortnite Gone Wild Sprites guide covers the earlier wave of new Sprites and how each ability works in practice. That's a useful reference for understanding how the Llama, Peely, and Quack Zero Point Sprites will likely slot into the existing meta once v41.30 lands.
