Chapter 1 of Halloween: The Game is bigger than the tutorial pacing suggests. While you're busy working through bikers and triggering chase sequences, two Loomis Log collectibles are sitting quietly off the main path, easy to walk straight past if you're focused on the objectives. Both are tape recordings that flesh out the story, and both are permanently missable once the chapter pushes you forward.
Where are the Loomis Logs in Chapter 1?
Chapter 1, sometimes called The Road to Haddonfield, takes place in a small town Michael Myers passes through after escaping the sanatorium. The level throws bikers and runners at you in sequence, and the two collectibles are tucked into side rooms during those sequences. Here's exactly where to find them.
Loomis Log #1: Bar dress room
The chapter opens outside a bar where Michael Myers works through a group of bikers, both outdoors and inside. Once nearly all of them are down, a cutscene plays showing the last biker stepping out of the dress room, spotting the carnage, and bolting. The game gives you a prompt to chase him down.
Before you follow that prompt, head into the hallway where the restrooms are located. On the left side of that hall, there's a room with a resident inside. Take out the resident, then look at the vanity on the countertop. A small circle marks the collectible's position.
After grabbing the log, continue chasing the biker as normal.

Loomis Log #2: Gas station office
Once you're outside, another cutscene plays showing the biker fleeing, followed by a mechanic. The mechanic becomes your next chase target, but you have a window to explore the town before committing to that pursuit.
Head to the other side of the auto shop. There's a gas station directly across from it. Go inside and find the office. The second Loomis Log sits on the desk, again marked by a small circle. Pick it up before heading back to chase the mechanic.

How do you check which logs you've collected?
These collectibles are audio recordings rather than readable documents. After finishing the level, go to the Graveyard menu on the main menu and scroll down to the tape on the left side. Every log you've picked up appears there, and you can play back each recording to get more detail on the story content.
If a slot shows empty, one of the two locations above was skipped during your run. The table above covers both, so use it as a checklist before the chapter ends.
Why bother collecting Loomis Logs?
The logs add context to Michael's story that the main mission beats don't cover directly. As an action game built around playing as Michael Myers, the narrative framing comes largely through these recordings rather than cutscenes, so skipping them means missing a chunk of the story IllFonic built around the character's journey.
Beyond story value, the logs are collectibles that register in the Graveyard menu, so completionists tracking everything in the game will want them for that reason alone.
