Chapter 3, Returning Home, puts you back in Michael's old neighborhood with nine enterable buildings and exactly two Loomis Logs hiding inside them. Where are the Chapter 3 Loomis Logs?
Out of the nine buildings you can enter on this map, only two hold tapes. Both are in optional houses, meaning the story never forces you inside during the main objectives. That's exactly why players miss them.
How to find Loomis Log #1 (the pink bedroom)
Head to the corner house directly across the street from the Myers home. The cleanest time to sweep this building is right after you capture and kill the intruder, before moving on to other objectives.
Once inside, take out the residents and cut the power and phone lines. With the house quiet, walk the interior until you spot a door covered in stickers. Open it and you're in a pink kid's bedroom. The Loomis Log sits on the desk next to a lamp and a typewriter. Pick it up and you're halfway done.

How to find Loomis Log #2 (the laundry room hutch)
Stay on the same street and move to the house on the opposite corner, still on the same side as the first log. Residents are inside, so deal with them before you start looking around.
Make your way toward the middle of the home and find the hutch standing just outside the laundry room. It has cabinets on both the top and bottom with an open shelf in between. The Loomis Log rests on that middle shelf. Grab it and Chapter 3's collectibles are complete.

How do you confirm you got both logs?
Each Loomis Log is a tape recording that fills in more of Michael's backstory. After the chapter ends, open the Graveyard Menu from the main menu to replay every tape you've collected so far. If one is missing from that list, the house still holds it and you can recover it through a chapter replay.
With both Returning Home tapes collected, you'll have six of the fourteen total Loomis Logs heading into the back half of the campaign.
