Getting started in Infinity Nikki
Infinity Nikki drops you into Miraland as Nikki, a stylist who uses the power of clothing to interact with the world, solve puzzles, fight enemies called Esselings, and complete styling challenges. Developed by Papergames and published by INFOLD PTE. LTD., the game launched on December 5, 2024 as a free-to-play title on PS5, PC, iOS, and Android. The core loop revolves around collecting and crafting outfits, raising your styling rank, and exploring a wide open world full of collectibles and quests. If you're starting fresh, there's a lot to take in, so here's what actually matters.

What kind of game is Infinity Nikki?
Infinity Nikki is a third-person open-world adventure built around fashion and styling, not combat. Outfits are your main tool for everything from solving environmental puzzles to winning structured Styling Challenges and Realm Challenges. The game has five outfit style categories: Elegant, Fresh, Sweet, Sexy, and Cool, and matching the right style to a challenge's requirements is the central skill you'll develop.
There are three outfit types to understand from the start:
- Miracle Outfits: High-power outfits used in major challenges and story moments
- Ability Outfits: Outfits tied to specific traversal or interaction skills, like gliding, shrinking, or playing the violin
- Stylish Outfits: General-use fashion pieces for everyday styling and expression
How do currencies and resources work?
Infinity Nikki uses multiple currencies, and knowing which one does what saves a lot of confusion early on. According to the game's resource structure documented by Game8, the main ones to track are:
Diamonds are the most important free-to-play resource. You earn them through quests, daily activities, exploration, and events. Spend them on Resonance banners to pull for 5-star outfits. Bling, the in-game money, goes toward crafting materials and shop purchases, so farming it consistently matters for keeping your wardrobe growing.
Complete your Daily Wishes and Daily Activities every session. These are the most reliable sources of Diamonds and Bling without spending real money.

How does the gacha (Resonance) system work?
The gacha system in Infinity Nikki is called Resonance. You pull on banners to obtain 5-star and 4-star outfits. The pity system guarantees a 5-star outfit within a set number of pulls, which is standard for the genre. Limited banners rotate with each version update, while permanent banners like Distant Sea and Surprise-O-Matic remain available indefinitely.
Key banner types:
- Limited banners: Feature specific 5-star outfits for a set period, then rotate out
- Permanent banners: Always available, lower chance of getting the newest outfits
As of the Version 1.5 update window, banners like Eternal Snow and Unfading Heart ran from April 28 to June 12, 2025 (UTC-7). Limited banners are time-sensitive, so prioritize saving Diamonds when a banner featuring an outfit you want is active.
Don't spend Diamonds on permanent banners early unless you have a surplus. Limited banners offer stronger and more unique outfits worth saving for.
The game also offered 126 free pulls to players at launch, documented by Game8's release guides. Check your mail and the rewards inbox regularly, especially after new version updates, since free pulls and items are distributed through those channels.
How do you get and craft clothing?
Clothing comes from several sources: Resonance pulls, crafting, shops, quests, and events. Crafting is particularly important because many outfits and clothing pieces require specific materials you gather through exploration and daily activities.
The crafting workflow:
- Gather crafting materials from the open world, shops, or quests
- Open the crafting menu and select the clothing piece or outfit you want
- Spend the required materials to produce the item
- Use Glow Up to enhance clothing pieces for better stats and appearance options
The Clothing Evolution system lets you upgrade clothing pieces further using Revelation Crystals and other growth materials. Prioritize evolving outfits you use frequently in Styling Challenges, since evolved pieces score higher.
Duplicate clothing pieces aren't wasted. According to Game8's tips section, you can recycle duplicates or use them in specific upgrade paths, so hold onto them until you know what a piece is used for.

What should you do every day?
Infinity Nikki has a structured set of daily and recurring activities that are worth building a routine around. The daily reset time determines when these refresh, so check the in-game clock if you're unsure.
Daily priorities:
- Complete Daily Wishes for consistent resource income
- Spend Vital Energy on activities that give crafting materials (don't let it cap out)
- Check the Compendium for any unclaimed rewards
- Do available Styling Challenges if they reset daily
Weekly and ongoing:
- Progress Realm Challenges (Realm of Escalation, Realm of Eureka, Realm of Nourishment, Realm of the Dark, Realm of Breakthrough)
- Collect Whimstars and Dews of Inspiration across all regions
- Open Treasure Chests in unexplored areas
- Complete World Quests for lore, rewards, and Mira Level progression
Raising your Mira Level and Styling Rank unlocks access to more content and better rewards, so consistent daily play compounds quickly.
How does exploration work?
The world of Miraland is split into distinct regions, each with its own collectibles and completion goals. The main regions include Memorial Mountains, Florawish, Breezy Meadow, Stoneville, Abandoned District, Wishing Woods, Firework Isles, and Serenity Island.
Each region has a 100% exploration target. Reaching it requires:
- Collecting all Whimstars in the area
- Finding all Treasure Chests
- Activating Warp Spires for fast travel
- Completing region-specific puzzles and quests
Ability Outfits are gated to specific traversal actions, so some areas won't be fully explorable until you've unlocked the right outfit. Floral Gliding opens up vertical exploration, while the Shrink ability lets you access small passages. Unlock these as early as the story allows.

What are Esselings and how do you fight them?
Esselings are the enemy creatures in Infinity Nikki. Combat exists in the game but isn't the primary focus. You fight Esselings using your equipped outfit's abilities, and the game has a hearts-based health system. If you take damage, you can recover hearts through consumables or specific in-game methods.
Notable Esselings include common types like Sad Sack, Spear Sack, Hard Sack, and Bitey Bag, along with rarer variants. Boss-level enemies include Bouldy, Wish Master: Chigda, and Dark Bouquet. Each has its own location and encounter type, with some appearing in dungeons like the Well of Fortune, Dream Warehouse, Ghost Train, and Timis's Beauty Lab.
Dying in Infinity Nikki doesn't carry a harsh penalty, but it does interrupt progress in timed or challenge-based encounters. Keep consumables stocked before entering dungeons.
Tips that actually save you time
- Link your account early. The game supports cross-save across PS5, PC, iOS, and Android, so linking prevents progress loss if you switch devices.
- Check redeem codes regularly. Active codes provide free Diamonds, crafting materials, and other resources with no strings attached.
- Don't ignore the Compendium. It tracks your clothing collection and rewards you for completing sets.
- Raise your Styling Rank by wearing outfits that match challenge requirements. Higher rank unlocks better content.
- Use the camera for Expedition Photo quests, which reward exploration-based resources.
- Talk to NPCs like Giovanni and Ena for quests that unlock permanent content and story progression.
