What are Diamonds and why do you need them?
Diamonds sit at the top of Infinity Nikki's currency hierarchy, and they gate access to nearly every piece of content you actually care about. When a new seasonal banner drops with limited-time outfits, Diamonds are how you pull. More Diamonds equals more attempts at completing those outfits, which means better stats and new abilities for Nikki beyond just cosmetics. You can technically burn Diamonds on Vital Energy refills, but Energy Crystals exist for that exact purpose, so treat your Diamond stash as banner-pull ammunition and nothing else.

How do Diamonds actually work on banners?
Limited-time outfit banners cycle in with each seasonal update and stick around for about a month. You spend Diamonds to pull, and the more pulls you can afford before the timer runs out, the better your shot at assembling the full outfit. Infinity Nikki added a rerun system post-launch, which gives you a second chance at banners you either missed or couldn't afford the first time around. That takes some heat off, but it doesn't erase the need to keep a healthy Diamond reserve going into each new season.
Best free ways to get Diamonds in Infinity Nikki
Daily Wishes: the easiest 90 Diamonds per day
Open the Daily Tasks menu and you'll find Daily Wishes, a checklist of trivial objectives that collectively hand you 90 Diamonds when cleared. Most take under five minutes: take a photo, craft a sketch, upgrade a Eureka, use Pear-Pal's Dig function, or knock out a quick trial in the Realm of Darkness or Realm of Eureka. Clearing these the moment you log in builds a rhythm and guarantees you start every session with fresh currency already banked.
Mira Crown Pinnacle Contest: up to 900 Diamonds per run
This is the fattest single Diamond payout in the free-to-play toolkit. You need to clear at least the third round of the standard Mira Crown Styling Contest first, which is permanently available. Once unlocked, the Pinnacle Contest runs eight rounds of themed styling challenges and lasts roughly half a season, which means you can finish two full Pinnacle Contests per seasonal cycle if you stay current.
Each round awards 1 to 3 stars depending on how well your outfit matches the theme and label requirements. Perfect scores across all eight rounds net you 900 Diamonds total. Hit 12 stars or more and you also collect Sparklite tokens, which you can trade in the Sparklite Store for Resonite and Revelation Crystals that convert directly into more pulling power.
Hidden treasure chests: hundreds of Diamonds across each region
Every region in Miraland is littered with treasure chests, and cracking them open is one of the most reliable passive Diamond streams in the game. Standard chests drop 5 Diamonds each, while the rarer glowing variants hold 30 Diamonds apiece. A thorough sweep of a single region in one sitting can easily yield hundreds of Diamonds on top of bonus loot like Blings, Threads of Purity, and occasional outfit sketches.
These chests don't respawn after you open them, but Miraland expands with every update, so there's always a fresh supply arriving with new content drops.
Quest rewards: the foundation you should never skip
Every region ships with a dense web of quests, and most of them include Diamonds in their reward pools. Beyond the main story quests tied to seasonal updates, the world is packed with standalone side quests and small questlines scattered across the map. The Events menu also surfaces additional seasonal world quests each patch. Treating quest completion as a background habit instead of a chore means a steady Diamond drip that compounds faster than it looks on paper.
Event challenges: tiered rewards with bonus chests inside
The 'Fun to Play' tab under the Events menu holds the season's tiered event challenges. Each stage throws an instanced objective at you, and clearing it pays out a solid batch of resources including Diamonds. Some challenge instances even hide extra treasure chests inside for players who explore instead of sprinting to the exit. Completing these challenges can also feed progress into other event tracks, including ones that award full outfits as grand prizes.
Glow Up outfits: a passive Diamond source most players ignore
The Glow Up feature, accessed through the Pear-Pal menu, lets you boost any outfit's stats using Shiny Bubbles, Blings, and Threads of Purity. Outfits start capped at Level 10, then push to max level using themed Glitter Bubbles or Swirl Bubbles matched to the outfit's style type (Cool-themed outfits need Cool-type bubbles, and so on). Maxing out an outfit pays Diamonds or Resonite/Revelation Crystals depending on rarity. It's not the flashiest method, but it rewards you for something you'd be doing anyway.

Folklore games and overworld mini-games: small payouts that stack
Every major region has suitcase-sized Folklore box games scattered around, each themed to that region's culture. Completing them pays a small Diamond reward per clear. More importantly, once you hit certain completion thresholds within a region, the local box game expert NPC (Ciceto in Wishfield, Gulitott in Itzaland, and so on) will hand you additional Diamonds. Track your progress in the Folklore Guide inside the Pear-Pal menu and watch for the red notification that signals a payout is ready.
Separate from the Folklore boxes, regular overworld mini-games are sprinkled throughout Miraland. Start them by talking to the NPC at the small check-in booth nearby. Each one pays Diamonds on first clear.
Is the Monthly Gift worth buying?
If you're going to spend real money in Infinity Nikki, the Monthly Gift is the most efficient option by a mile. Found in the 'Treasure' tab of the in-game store, it costs $5 and delivers 90 Diamonds automatically each day you log in, plus 300 Stellarites on purchase that you can convert into more Diamonds or spend in the fashion store.
The catch: missed login days mean missed Diamonds with no way to recover them. The pass doesn't bank unearned days.

Building a sustainable Diamond routine
The players who never run dry on Diamonds aren't necessarily the ones spending money. They're the ones treating Diamond collection as a daily habit instead of a panic response when a banner is about to close. Complete Daily Wishes every session. Run both Mira Crown Pinnacle Contests each season. Explore new regions thoroughly when they drop. Check the Folklore Guide notification regularly. Stack event challenges as soon as they open.
Do all of that consistently and the 900-Diamond Pinnacle Contest payouts, combined with daily 90-Diamond drips from Daily Wishes, keep your reserves in decent shape across most seasons without touching your wallet.
