Season 10 of Marvel Rivals lands with one of the biggest balance sweeps the game has seen, touching nearly every role and reshaping several team-up dynamics in the process. Scarlet Witch gets an almost entirely new kit. Magneto takes a serious hit to his bulk and shielding. Wolverine's baseline damage goes up. And every Strategist in the game now generates Ultimate Energy slightly slower. There's a lot to process.

What are the global changes in Season 10?

Before getting into individual heroes, the patch opens with a change that affects every Strategist simultaneously. Healing-to-energy conversion drops from 70% to 65%, and damage-to-energy conversion falls from 55% to 50%. These reductions are small on paper but compound over a full match, meaning supports will reach their ultimates less frequently across the board. If you've been relying on aggressive healing cycles to fuel back-to-back ults, expect that rhythm to slow down.

Marvel Rivals Season 10 Buffs and Nerfs: Every Hero Changes

Captain America and Thor get meaningful health buffs

Captain America gains 50 base health, going from 300 to 350, which is a substantial jump for a frontliner who often absorbs punishment at close range. His Vibranium Energy Saw also loses its bounce damage falloff, so every ricochet hits as hard as the first. His Team-Up with Thor extends Voltaic Union duration from 7 to 10 seconds, and the Thor side of that relationship also gets upgraded: Thor's base health climbs from 300 to 325, and the damage enemies take when crossing his Lightning Realm boundary increases from 40 to 50.

Magneto takes significant nerfs

Magneto loses 50 base health (650 down to 600) and his Metal Bulwark and Iron Bulwark shield values drop from 250 to 200. His Team-Up with Scarlet Witch gets hit too: the Metallic Chaos cooldown increases from 12 to 18 seconds, the Chaos Greatsword spell field damage falls from 40 to 35, and the enhanced Mag-Cannon single projectile damage is halved from 20 to 10. That's a total single-shot damage reduction from 45 to 35. Magneto was a dominant presence in coordinated play, and these changes target exactly the tools that made him oppressive.

warning
If your team was running Magneto as the anchor Vanguard with Scarlet Witch support, this patch directly dismantles that combination. Expect the pair to drop significantly in competitive priority.

The Hood and The Thing both trimmed

The Hood drops from 600 to 550 base health, his Mantle of Oblivion cooldown extends from 10 to 12 seconds, and his Abyssal Veil damage reduction against projectiles falls sharply from 35% to 20%. His ultimate's Damage to Bonus Health conversion also drops from 60% to 50%. He was already a contested pick, and these cuts make him harder to justify in most compositions.

The Thing loses 25 base health (750 to 725), his Stone Haymaker scaling against high-health targets gets trimmed slightly, and his Yancy Street Charge cooldown extends from 10 to 12 seconds while the spell field duration shortens from 5 to 4 seconds.

Rogue, Emma Frost, and Peni Parker get upgrades

Rogue picks up extra survivability through a larger Regenerative Shield (250 to 275), faster energy regen while Defensive Stance is inactive (15/s to 25/s), and increased Maximum Health gained when using Ability Absorption on a Vanguard (125 to 150). Emma Frost gains 25 base health (650 to 675), her Telepathic Pulse range extends from 18m to 20m, and her Carbon Crush dash distance increases from 7m to 8.5m. Peni Parker fires faster with her Cyber-Web Clusters (interval drops from 0.3s to 0.25s) and loses the self-slow that previously penalized aggressive firing.

tip
Rogue's Ability Absorption buff specifically rewards absorbing from Vanguards. In matches where you can reliably target tanks, she now generates significantly more Maximum Health than before.

Duelist changes

Marvel Rivals Season 10 Buffs and Nerfs: Every Hero Changes

Scarlet Witch gets a near-complete rework

This is the most extensive single-hero change in the patch. Scarlet Witch receives a brand new ability called Scarlet Hex: a magic shockwave covering a 20m long, 8m wide rectangular area that deals 40 damage and applies a Chaos Mark to enemies caught inside. A new passive then converts 25% of damage she deals to Chaos-Marked enemies into Bonus Health for herself, capped at 50.

Her existing kit shifts around this new system. Chaos Control drops from 85/s to 75/s but now deals uniform damage to all Chaos-Marked enemies within a 20m, 120-degree cone. Chthonian Burst cast interval compresses from 0.5s to 0.4s, raising its DPS from 160 to 200. Dark Seal no longer periodically stuns but instead stuns once on initial detonation (0.3s), then continuously deals 20/s damage and applies a 30% slow while also constantly applying Chaos Marks to enemies inside the field. Her movement speed boost during Mystic Projection drops from 50% to 35%.

The Reality Erasure ultimate now deals continuous damage during the wind-up phase, scaling from 50 to 80 over 4 seconds within a 15m radius, and she has a small chance to be immune to incoming damage during that window.

important
Scarlet Witch's rework shifts her from a passive zone controller to an active mark-and-punish threat. Learning to apply Chaos Marks through Scarlet Hex before activating Chaos Control is now the core of her damage loop.

Wolverine hits harder at baseline

Wolverine's Savage Claw base damage per hit increases from 15 to 18, and his percentage damage scaling per Rage point improves slightly (from 1.5% + 0.057% to 1.5% + 0.062%). His Regenerative Healing Factor Bonus Health is standardized to a flat 300, removing the previous dependency on current Rage. The Team-Up with Cyclops also gets a small damage-per-Rage bump on Kinetic Claws hits.

Black Cat trades invincibility for damage reduction

Black Cat loses the full invincibility during Phantom Pursuit and instead gains 50% Damage Reduction plus Unstoppable. The Fortune cost drops from 300 to 250 but Fortune gained on hit also drops from 150 to 125. Her Helmet of Hades duration extends from 2s to 3s, and a visibility change means her movement trail will now appear and her full form will be periodically revealed during stealth. Her footstep sound effects are also louder. These changes make her more readable to opponents.

Strategist changes

Marvel Rivals Season 10 Buffs and Nerfs: Every Hero Changes

Jeff the Land Shark and Loki get stronger

Jeff the Land Shark sees his Joyful Splash healing increase from 130/s to 140/s, his Aqua Burst projectile speed jump from 100m/s to 150m/s with damage up from 25 to 30, and his ultimate's healing pool output rise from 100/s to 130/s. Loki picks up extra Mystical Missile healing (10 to 15) and doubles his self-healing during stealth after casting Deception (20/s to 30/s).

Cloak & Dagger and Mantis get trimmed

Cloak & Dagger lose some combat utility: Terror Cape's Vulnerable effect drops from 28% to 20%, and Lightforce Dagger area healing falls from 25 to 20. Mantis takes a hit to her Life Orb charge time (3s to 4s) and her Healing Flower output in the Star-Lord Team-Up is reduced, though her Adam Warlock Team-Up sees that same healing increase to compensate.

White Fox and Ultron both gain self-healing

White Fox improves her Yeowoo Guseul direct hit healing from 50 to 55 and bounce hit healing from 35 to 40, plus her surrounding healing field during Fox Form Awakening increases from 35 to 40. Ultron trades some Bonus Health generation for a new 20/s self-heal lasting 3 seconds after casting Imperative: Firewall.

Luna Snow gains slightly better self-healing through Cryo Heart (30/s to 35/s) but loses the self-cleanse effect from her White Fox Team-Up. Invisible Woman gets a quality-of-life adjustment: for the first 1 second after entering stealth, taking damage no longer breaks her cover.

How does Season 10 change the meta?

The Magneto nerfs are the headline shift for competitive play. His shield value reduction combined with the Metallic Chaos cooldown increase and the Scarlet Witch Team-Up damage cuts make the pairing far less oppressive at higher ranks. Expect teams to pivot toward Captain America and Thor, both of whom received health buffs that make them more durable frontliners.

Scarlet Witch's rework is the wildcard. Her new Chaos Mark system has genuine carry potential if players invest time in the new ability flow, but the movement speed reduction on Mystic Projection makes her more vulnerable while repositioning. She'll reward players who learn the mark-application loop and punish those who try to play her the same way as before.

The global Strategist energy nerf is subtle but real. Supports who were cycling ultimates frequently, particularly in dive-heavy compositions, will feel the difference across longer matches. Jeff and Loki both received compensating buffs, which suggests NetEase wants those two supports to remain competitive despite the energy nerf.
