Season 10.5 of Marvel Rivals skips the new hero drop and goes straight for something more interesting: a 2v2 tournament where 12 players compete as six duos for control of all six Infinity Stones. The Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Infinity War mode launched October 9, 2026, and runs until December 11, 2026. There is a free Infinity Gauntlet accessory on the table, plus several other rewards that require zero spending.
Select Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Infinity War from the mode list after installing the Season 10.5 update. Twelve players split into six duos, and each round pits exactly two pairs against each other on the Jungle of Wakanda map. You are not fighting all 12 players at once — it is a structured tournament where you face different opponents as rounds progress.
Every duo shares a Squad Health pool of 100 points. Losing a round costs 15 points early on, with the penalty climbing to 35 points per round as the match continues. Reach zero and your team is eliminated. Win enough rounds to survive, collect Stones from beaten opponents, and be the first pair to hold all six.

Six-duo squad selection
Each duo receives one randomly assigned Stone at match start. You cannot pick which one you get. Stones cannot be activated until Phase 4, so the first three phases are entirely about building your upgrade card stack. At Phase 7, every Stone upgrades to its enhanced form automatically.
Win a round against another duo and you take their Stone. Eliminate a team entirely (reduce their health pool to zero) and you claim every Stone they were carrying. When holding multiple Stones, cycle through them with Z and activate the selected one with G.
| Infinity Stone | Base Effect | Enhanced Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Soul | Sacrifice half your max health to fully restore your teammate's health; you keep at least 1 HP | Sacrifice your health to fully heal your ally and grant them Bonus Health equal to your current HP, then enter Soul State. Limit 1 per team |
| Mind | Fire a psychic beam; sustained hits let you mind-control an enemy and use their Stone's base effect | Fire a psychic beam; sustained hits let you mind-control an enemy and use their Stone's enhanced effect |
| Space | Teleport in a chosen direction with a Damage Boost and Bonus Health; can cast multiple times | Teleport in a chosen direction with Damage Boost and Bonus Health; target enemies to teleport behind them; can cast multiple times |
| Time | Rewind yourself to your state and position 5 seconds ago; used Stone abilities are not reset | Rewind the entire battlefield 5 seconds, capable of reviving characters; used Stone abilities are not reset |
| Reality | Designate an area where, after a short delay, enemy attacks inside become bubbles | Designate an area where, after a short delay, enemies inside are Transformed |
| Power | Fire a continuous energy beam dealing damage equal to a percentage of the target's max health | Fire a continuous energy beam dealing damage equal to a percentage of max health; sustained hits Control the target |

Stone ability cycling UI
The roster is locked to 13 heroes drawn from the Avengers: Infinity War film. You cannot use characters outside this selection.
The playable heroes are: Doctor Strange, Captain America, Groot, Thor, Black Panther, Black Widow, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier, Star-Lord, Mantis, and Rocket Raccoon.
For duo composition, pairs that mix a support-oriented hero (Mantis, Rocket Raccoon) with an aggressive Duelist can cover both sustained damage and recovery. Pure damage pairs need to be more deliberate about protecting their shared health pool, since there is no passive healing to fall back on between rounds.
For a deeper look at how the Infinity Stone effects interact with specific heroes in this mode, the Marvel Rivals Infinity War LTM guide covering all Infinity Stone effects breaks down each ability in further detail.
Before each round begins, both players enter a Prepare Phase to select upgrade cards. These cards alter hero stats or change how specific abilities behave for the rest of the match.
In Phase 1, you choose four cards and have two refresh chances to swap out the offered selection. Phase 3 introduces Shiny Cards, which carry significantly stronger effects and can shift your entire build direction. Shiny Card choices return in Phases 7, 9, and 11.
The mistake most players make is always grabbing the highest-damage card available. If your squad health pool is already low, a defensive card that keeps you alive through the next round is worth more than an offensive bonus you might not survive to use.
The mode has its own dedicated mission track, separate from the broader Infinity Finale event quests. Here is every reward and what triggers it:
| Mission | Reward |
|---|---|
| Complete 1 match | 100 Unstable Molecules |
| Complete 5 matches | 200 Units |
| Purchase 50 upgrades | Avengers: Infinity War Spray |
| Use 35 Stone abilities | "Stone Guardian" Title |
| Take 10 Stones from other teams | Infinity Gauntlet Accessory |
The Infinity Gauntlet accessory is the headline free item. Collecting 10 Stones counts across all your matches in the event, not as a single-match total. You do not need to win a match while holding 10 Stones simultaneously. Play consistently, win rounds to claim Stones, and the total accumulates naturally over multiple sessions.
The Infinity War mode is the centerpiece of Season 10.5, but the update adds more around it.
The Infinity Finale event runs until December 10, 2026 (one day before the mode closes), and lets you earn Thor's The Avengers costume for free by completing event quests. MCU-inspired looks for Black Panther and Doctor Strange are also part of the event artwork, though the patch notes do not confirm every pictured item as free.
Times Square has two limited activities ending much earlier, on October 22, 2026:
Those Times Square activities expire weeks before the main mode closes, so prioritize them first.
The Alchemax Headquarters map also joins the 18v18 Annihilation mode this season, and the Angela – Will of Galacta costume is available through Twitch Drops running from October 9 to November 6, 2026. The Season 10.5 ranked reward is the Jeff the Land Shark – Razor-Tooth skin.
