Marvel Rivals Season 8 launched on May 15, 2026, and alongside the new Vanguard hero Devil Dinosaur came a limited-time event built around him: Devil Dino Hide and Seek. The premise is simple enough, Moon Girl needs your help tracking down her giant prehistoric partner, and the rewards for doing so are genuinely worth your time. You have until July 10, 2026, to finish everything, which gives you roughly two months to work through all four timelines.
What is the Devil Dino Hide and Seek event?
The event runs across four sequential timelines, each split into two mission tabs labeled Decrypt and Search. You must clear every Decrypt mission in a given timeline before the Search missions unlock. Only the first two timelines were available at launch on May 15, 2026, with the remaining two scheduled to open progressively throughout the season.
All missions count progress across Quick Match, Competitive, Arcade, and Practice vs. AI, so you can grind whichever mode suits you. The objectives themselves are familiar territory: finish a set number of matches, absorb a damage threshold, rack up assists, or eliminate enemies. Nothing here requires you to play as Devil Dinosaur specifically, which makes knocking out missions much faster if you stick to a hero you already know.

What rewards can you earn?
NetEase is not handing out free skins for this event, so temper expectations on that front. The full reward pool covers cosmetic collectibles and currency, which is still a solid haul for missions you would likely be playing through anyway.
Here is everything available across all four timelines:
- Holo Rex Nameplate
- Star-Snacking Solo Spray
- Where Are You? Spray
- Adventure Capital Gallery Card
- Hostile Takeover Gallery Card
- Chrono Tokens (multiple rewards)
- Units (multiple rewards)
Each individual mission is tied to exactly one reward, so the only way to collect everything is to complete every mission across all four timelines.
The event ends at 9 AM UTC on July 10, 2026. Miss that deadline and any uncollected rewards are gone permanently.

How to complete Timeline I missions
Timeline I is split across Decrypt and Search tabs. The Decrypt side unlocks first, and finishing all three missions there opens the Search operations.
Timeline I: Decrypt missions
Timeline I: Search missions
Decryption Mission 1 is the fastest starting point since five match completions require zero specific conditions beyond finishing games. Damage thresholds in Missions 2 and 3 accumulate naturally across normal play, but Vanguard heroes like Devil Dinosaur himself will hit the 30,000 and 40,000 damage absorption numbers faster than most Duelists.
Assists count whenever you contribute damage to an enemy that a teammate finishes off. High-output Strategists and area-control Vanguards tend to rack up assists passively without needing to focus on the objective directly.

Is the event worth your time?
For the effort involved, yes. The missions are not asking for anything unusual, just normal match activity that stacks across two months. The Holo Rex Nameplate and the two gallery cards are the standout free picks here, and the Chrono Tokens add up to a meaningful chunk of currency across all completed missions.
The absence of a free skin is a reasonable complaint, especially compared to some earlier Marvel Rivals events, but the gallery cards and nameplate are clean cosmetics that cost nothing beyond match time you were probably putting in anyway.
