Play Daredevil in Marvel Rivals by hunting isolated enemies, cycling Fury into burst damage, and keeping one movement ability ready to escape.

The hard part is choosing when to commit. Your strongest attacks depend on a resource meter, your defense has a long cooldown, and an unsuccessful chase can strand you behind the enemy team. Learn one reliable entry first, then add longer combos once you can consistently land your follow-up attacks without wasting your defensive tools.

Scout your target before committing

Daredevil is a melee Duelist with 150 health and 150 Regenerative Shield. Letting that shield recover between engagements helps you return without starting your next dive already weakened.

Radar Sense detects enemy movement within 40m, including enemies behind walls and invisible opponents. His restricted distance vision makes long-range fighting awkward, but nearby cover does not hide your target's position. Use that information to find an isolated Strategist or an enemy who has separated from their team.

Make Radar Sense easier to read

Open Daredevil's hero settings and lower Radar Sense Background Brightness if the dark background makes the environment difficult to read. Keep the surroundings clear enough to identify walls and escape routes while following enemy outlines.

Nearby enemy outlines remain visible through a wall in Daredevil's Radar Sense view

Read enemies through cover

Choose an entry with an exit

Blind Ascent lets you climb walls at 10m/s, cling to them, and spring away. Use Space to reach an elevated approach without spending your grapple.

Before dropping into the backline, check three things:

  • Target: Can you reach one enemy without landing beside several of their teammates?
  • Timing: Has the enemy frontline engaged, or is everyone still watching your approach?
  • Exit: Can you grapple toward cover or reach a climbable wall if the target survives?

Follow your Vanguard's pressure. If Angela is initiating, time your entry with Angela's Marvel Rivals grab combos so your damage follows the enemy she isolates.

Daredevil abilities and the Fury loop

Daredevil's kit alternates between earning Fury and spending it through Infernal Fury. His basic attacks fill resource gaps, while completed movement abilities and successful deflections can fund another heavy attack.

Core attacks and PC controls

These are the default PC inputs. Objection!'s entry describes its standard frontal protection; the defensive team-up loadout changes its coverage.

AbilityInputWhat it doesResource and timing
Justice JabLeft-clickStrikes with billy clubs for 35 damage within 4.5mGains 15 Fury on hit
Righteous CrossLeft-click when enabledSurges forward up to 6m and deals 50 damageGains 15 Fury on hit; available for 5 seconds after Devil's Latch or Infernal Fury
Objection!Right-clickBlocks frontal damage and reflects incoming projectilesLasts 1.2 seconds; 12-second cooldown; grants 60 Fury after at least one successful deflection
Devil's LatchShiftFires a grapple up to 25m; an enemy hit reels both characters toward each other12-second cooldown; grants 30 Fury on terrain or 60 on an enemy upon completion
Infernal FuryE, then an attack inputSelects Devil's Chain or Devil's Throw; either enables Righteous Cross afterwardCosts 60 Fury
Sonic PursuitF to mark, then again to dashMarks within 40m, grants movement speed and 10% damage reduction, then permits a blinding dash within 12m for 20 damageDash completion grants 60 Fury; 15-second cooldown; eliminating the marked target refreshes it

Righteous Cross is a conditional attack, not a separate button. Watch for its prompt after the ability that enables it, then use primary fire before starting your next ability.

Should you use Devil's Chain or Devil's Throw?

After activating Infernal Fury, Left-click selects Devil's Chain, while Right-click selects Devil's Throw. Base your choice on the target's position and whether you need close-range sustain or a slowing opener.

Infernal Fury attackDamage and effectBonus HealthBest use
Devil's ChainDeals 25 base damage, plus 35 bonus damage in the strikespot at the end of its 8m reachGrants 25 on activation and converts 70% of damage dealt into moreCommitted fights where you can land the strikespot
Devil's ThrowDeals 30 damage per hit, slows by 20%, and ricochets up to 4 times, or 2 without nearby targetsGrants 50 on activationOpening from outside melee range or slowing a retreating enemy

Chain's strikespot occupies a 2m spherical area at the end of the attack. Aim near your opponent's feet and learn that spacing. Landing the outer sweet spot improves both damage and the health gained from it.

Bonus Health from Infernal Fury caps at 100. It begins decaying after 5 seconds at 30 per second, so it supports your current engagement, not a long wait before the next one.

How to execute a dive and leave alive

Start with a short sequence that works without stored Fury. Longer rotations are useful only when you can recognize each animation and avoid accidentally spending Objection! during an attack selection.

First combo to learn

  1. Mark your target with Sonic Pursuit when you are ready to attack. Marking early alerts the opponent to your presence.
  2. Move into dash range and activate Sonic Pursuit again.
  3. Use Infernal Fury, then select Devil's Chain.
  4. Follow with Righteous Cross.
  5. Assess the fight before spending Devil's Latch. Continue only if you can finish the target safely; otherwise, grapple toward cover.

This opening keeps your grapple available while you learn target selection. Do not use every movement button simply because each one is ready.

When your target is already close and your abilities are unavailable, weave Quick Melee between every second Justice Jab. Daredevil's Quick Melee is separate from his primary attack, allowing you to add damage between club swings.

Burst combo with stored Fury

Start this sequence with at least 60 Fury:

  1. Mark with Sonic Pursuit.
  2. Activate Infernal Fury and select Devil's Throw.
  3. Dash with Sonic Pursuit.
  4. Use Righteous Cross.
  5. Activate Infernal Fury and select Devil's Chain.
  6. Finish with another Righteous Cross.

Throw applies pressure before you arrive, and the completed dash funds the second Infernal Fury attack. Do not treat this as a guaranteed full-health elimination. Missed ricochets or a missed Chain strikespot reduce the sequence's damage.

Wait for the selection prompt before pressing the next attack input. Mashing E and Right-click can trigger Objection! instead of Devil's Throw, leaving you without your defensive response.

What to do when the target survives

Watch for crowd-control animations instead of staring only at the enemy's health bar. Luna Snow, Mantis, Peni Parker, and Winter Soldier can punish a committed melee attacker. Hold Objection! for a dangerous incoming projectile or to cover your retreat.

You can also make a short attack specifically to force a defensive cooldown. Against Adam Warlock, pressure with basic attacks, withdraw after Soul Bond, and return before that protection becomes available again.

Devil's Latch does not stun the enemy it pulls. A hooked opponent can continue attacking, so do not use the grapple as if it guarantees an interruption.

How to time Let the Devil Out

Let the Devil Out, activated with Q, lasts 8 seconds and affects enemies in Daredevil's line of sight within a 15m radius. Its damage rises from 50 to 85 per second as the Blind effect strengthens, reaching full damage and blindness after 3 seconds.

Radar Sense tracking does not remove the ultimate's line-of-sight requirement. Position where you can keep vulnerable enemies exposed instead of activating behind a wall and expecting the effect to reach them.

Spend Fury while the ultimate runs

The ultimate restores 30 Fury per second. Keep using Infernal Fury and its follow-up attacks instead of waiting for the area damage to finish the fight by itself.

Enemies receive a warning marker showing your location during the ultimate. Activate when your team can support you, and keep watching your health. The Blind effect disrupts enemy coordination, but the ultimate does not make you invulnerable.

Keep targets inside the effect

Which team-up loadout should you choose?

Under the Marvel Rivals Season 9 Duelist team-up system, your selected loadout supplies its base effect even without its partner. The matching teammate activates the enhanced effect.

PartnerSelected loadout's base effectEnhancement with partner present
Iron FistUpgrades Objection! to damage nearby enemies, deflect projectiles from every direction, and provide complete damage invulnerability during the stanceHeals Daredevil for 60 per second during the ability and grants an additional 60 Fury on the first successful deflection
Black WidowAdds Devilish Affair on C: a frontal criss-cross attack dealing 55 damage and applying a 40% slow for 1.5 seconds; enables Righteous Cross afterwardWidens the attack cone from 120 to 180 degrees and restores 30 Fury on hit

Choose the Iron Fist option while learning survival and defensive timing. Its all-direction protection is especially useful when enemies surround you. Choose Black Widow's option when you want another attack and follow-up opportunity; Devilish Affair has a 12-second cooldown.

Compare both team-up options

The Punisher also benefits from Daredevil through Bestial Hunt. That loadout gives The Punisher boosted piercing bullets, and Daredevil's presence improves their damage against summoned walls and shields.

Pick teammates and fights that suit your reach

Venom can initiate alongside Daredevil, draw enemy attention, and help pressure the backline. The Punisher's rifle also helps cover flying opponents that Daredevil struggles to threaten reliably.

Plan your approach around the healing your Strategists can deliver. If you are playing beside Cloak & Dagger in Marvel Rivals, account for their healing and utility before committing to an angle, and return when support cannot reach you.

Avoid forcing a direct brawl into Emma Frost, Peni Parker, or The Thing. Look for a different approach or a separated target instead of spending your full kit trying to push through a defended frontline.

If the enemy stays grouped and gives you no clean entry, use Radar Sense to watch your own backline. Ping an approaching flanker and intercept the isolated attacker. Daredevil can win a useful duel on either side of the fight.
