Grand Theft Auto 6 has reached an estimated 7.71 million digital pre-orders across PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, bringing it close to Cyberpunk 2077's pre-order record. Sensor Tower's November 4 update puts estimated gross revenue at $751 million ahead of the game's November 19, 2026, release.
These are third-party estimates, not an official sales announcement. Physical copies bought through retailers are excluded.
Sensor Tower's estimate stood at 6.45 million digital pre-orders roughly two weeks earlier. The latest figure represents an estimated increase of 1.26 million pre-orders over that period.
For a series benchmark, Take-Two's official figures put GTA 5 above $800 million in worldwide sales during its first 24 hours in September 2013, and above $1 billion in three days. Those were post-launch sales, so they are not a direct comparison with GTA 6's digital pre-orders.
PS5 leads the estimated console split
The tracker divides its estimated pre-orders and gross revenue between the two launch platforms as follows:

Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball said in September that the game was “breaking records for Xbox.” He also said the company's internal analysis put its pre-order share in line with its share of the console market.
Sony holds the PS5 marketing rights for GTA 6. Rockstar's August Extended Look presentation also used gameplay footage recorded on a base PS5.
