The Path to Doomsday series in Marvel Rivals is building toward something big. With Avengers: Doomsday hitting theaters on December 18, 2026, NetEase has been running a chain of MCU-themed live events all year, and the next one is themed around Avengers: Infinity War. The formula gets a shake-up again, this time with a 2v2 tournament structure and the six Infinity Stones at the center of it all.

tip
Season 10.5 has no new hero, so the Infinity War LTM is the main attraction this update. Log in early to avoid queue times when the mode goes live.
How does the Infinity War LTM work?
This mode splits 12 players into six teams of two, then runs those duos through a series of 2v2 battles until one pair is left standing. That structure alone sets it apart from the earlier Path to Doomsday entries.
Between rounds, each team picks from a set of modifiers that change how your attacks behave. These aren't passive stat bumps; they actively shift your playstyle mid-event, so you'll need to adapt quickly.
The real twist is the Infinity Stones. Every team starts with one of the six Stones, each granting a distinct ability. When you eliminate another duo, you take their Stone. Collect enough Stones and you become the team to beat. The squad that holds the most Stones when the dust settles wins.

What came before the Infinity War event?
The Path to Doomsday series kicked off back in April with the Avengers-themed event, which introduced an asymmetric PvP mode where one team played as Loki. If you missed the rewards from that run, check out the full Path to Doomsday Avengers rewards guide to see what was on offer, and the how-to-play breakdown covers the mechanics in detail.
The Age of Ultron chapter followed, bringing another new mode into the mix. Each entry has changed the format enough to keep things from feeling repetitive, which is a decent sign for what Infinity War and the eventual Endgame finale will deliver.
tip
The Endgame event is expected to follow the Infinity War chapter later in October, making this a packed month for the hero shooter.
Is this the last Path to Doomsday event?
Not quite. Infinity War is the penultimate chapter. The Endgame-themed mode is set to arrive shortly after, rounding out the series before Avengers: Doomsday opens in December. NetEase has been escalating the stakes with each event, so Endgame should be the biggest LTM of the bunch.
