Legends of Venari has opened its playtest to the public, giving players their first hands-on look at a creature-capture game built around strategy, resource management, and tactical combat. The playtest lets you explore a world filled with powerful creatures called Venari, which you'll need to capture, train, and deploy in battles as you work through quests and build out your collection.

What is Legends of Venari?
Legends of Venari centers on capturing and training creatures in a world where timing, bait selection, and trap placement determine success. Once you've caught a Venari, you can level it up and improve its combat stats. The game leans heavily on resource management — you're juggling energy limits, inventory space, and consumables as you push deeper into each region.
How the playtest works
The playtest is open to anyone with a PC. You can sign up and start playing through the playtest portal. Right now it's PC-only, and the developers are using this phase to collect feedback before the full launch.
What you can do in the playtest:
- Faction storylines: Work with NPCs like Professor Oswald and faction leaders to advance through the main narrative.
- Side missions: Explore different zones, pick up extra rewards, and get a feel for how the world is structured.
- Daily tasks: Complete rotating objectives from various NPCs to earn Airdrop Shards and other rewards.
Earning Airdrop Shards
Airdrop Shards are the playtest's primary reward currency. You earn them by finishing daily objectives, crafting items from rare Venari drops, defeating rare Venari in combat, or gathering specific resources scattered across the map. The game recommends storing these in secure in-game containers to avoid losing progress.

What's coming next
The development team plans to roll out additional features during the playtest window. Venari Ascension will allow players to mint their creatures for added benefits, and a deeper progression system will unlock new abilities and customization paths for each Venari.
After the playtest wraps, the team will use player feedback to refine the game ahead of a token generation event and the public launch. Full details on playtest participation are available in the official announcement.
