Battlefield 6 Joins Xbox Game Pass on October 13 With Eight More Games

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a full lineup to look forward to this month. Microsoft has confirmed the first wave of October additions, and Battlefield 6 is the headline act, dropping onto the service on October 13, 2026 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.

For anyone who has been following the franchise since Battlefield 2042, this is a significant moment. The series has been working to rebuild its reputation after a rocky launch cycle, and putting the new entry directly into Game Pass removes the biggest barrier to giving it a shot.

What's actually landing on Game Pass this month

The October wave is spread across several dates, giving subscribers multiple reasons to check back in throughout the month. Here's the full breakdown:

October 13 is the busiest single day, with Battlefield 6, Deep Dish Dungeon, and Valor Mortis all landing at once. Echo Weaver was also added at the start of the wave for Ultimate and PC subscribers.

Nine games leaving on October 15

The additions come with the usual trade-off. Nine titles are exiting the service on October 15, and a few of them are genuinely worth flagging before they disappear.

The full departure list:

• A Plague Tale: Requiem
• Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
• Crime Scene Cleaner
• Donut County
• Evil West
• Nova Roma (Game Preview)
• Pacific Drive
• Superball
• The Casting of Frank Stone

That is a wide range of genres walking out the door simultaneously, from narrative adventures to survival games to Game Preview titles.

Why Battlefield 6 on Game Pass is a bigger deal than it sounds

Putting a major multiplayer shooter on a subscription service day one is a calculated move. Player counts are everything in games like this, and Game Pass guarantees a flood of new players at launch rather than a slow trickle from traditional sales.

Here's the thing: the franchise genuinely needs that momentum. Battlefield's multiplayer ecosystem lives or dies on population size. Empty servers kill the experience faster than any balance issue. Getting millions of Game Pass subscribers to download and try the game in the same window is the kind of boost money can't easily replicate.

For players who want to get ahead of the competition before Battlefield 6 drops, the Battlefield 2042 guides cover everything from class strategy to map control fundamentals that carry over between entries in the series.

Getting ready for October 13

The key here is timing. October 13 is less than a week away, so if you are not already subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, now is the window to sort that out. Valor Mortis landing on the same day as Battlefield 6 gives the month a strong double-header for players who want variety beyond the shooter genre.
