The playtest provides the web3 gaming community an opportunity to explore the game’s updated build while earning rewards including USDC, Factory NFTs, and a raffle for WYRM tokens. This test phase is part of Calamity’s ongoing preparation for its play-to-earn (P2A) campaign and will allow players to familiarize themselves with new features and game mechanics.

The Incentivized Technical Test will include most of the features intended for Calamity’s upcoming P2A campaign, with the exception of the guild system and advanced fishing baits. The test also supports Cosmetics, Rings, and Pass or Gold purchases, which will be available through the official dApp at the start of the test.
Since this test is the first version of the new build, players may encounter bugs, rollbacks, or periods of maintenance due to substantial updates to the game’s architecture, backend, and server systems. The developers caution against engaging in over-the-counter trades for Gold outside the official dApp, as any lost progress resulting from such trades cannot be refunded. The official Discord announcement emphasizes that if the event is rolled back due to exploits, trades made outside the official channels will not be reimbursed.

USDC Tribute Prize Pool and Incentives
Participants in the playtest have multiple opportunities to earn rewards. The USDC Tribute prize pool starts at $1,000 and grows as players purchase Gold, Season Passes, and other items. To qualify for a share of the pool, players must hold at least 1000 Gold, with 1000 Gold equal to $1 during this playtest. Gold can be earned through selling items at the Auction House or by acquiring Wyrm Shards via the $2 Season Pass. Wyrm Shards, which are collected during dungeon runs, determine the daily Gold allocation for each player.
Players aiming to earn Factory NFTs need to rank among the top 25 on the Valor Leaderboard. Valor Points are accumulated by spending time in dungeons, with higher difficulty areas awarding more points. Factory NFTs will be claimable in a future Factory Sale after the airdrop campaign concludes. The 500,000 WYRM token raffle is open to players with at least 850 Valor Points, each point granting one raffle ticket. A total of 100 winners will receive 5,000 WYRM tokens each, with 30 percent of rewards claimable at TGE and the remainder distributed over three months through linear vesting.
Content creators are also included in the playtest incentives. Players who produce social media content with high engagement may receive Factory NFTs. The top 20 creators will be awarded three Factory NFTs each, while the top five guide authors in any language will receive five Factory NFTs. This creator-focused event runs until August 29, 11 AM UTC, with winners to be announced on September 5.

Players downloading the Discord version will need to update the client with each new game release.
To maximize rewards, players should focus on accumulating Gold and Valor Points. Gold is earned by selling dungeon loot or collecting Wyrm Shards during dungeon runs, while Valor Points are earned by completing challenging dungeons. Players who rank among the top 25 for Valor Points will receive Factory NFTs, and those with at least 850 points can enter the WYRM token raffle.
The developers encourage players to report bugs and exploits to support further improvements. Reports of critical issues in the game economy, leaderboards, or Valor Points may qualify for bounty rewards, with specific details to be announced.
