EA released 25 classics on PC on November 5, 2026, including Road Rash and Theme Hospital.
The lineup is available through Steam and the EA App. GOG already carried the original releases, so the new additions to that storefront are the remastered Anniversary Editions.
The archive behind the seven remasters
EA says the restoration work began with the discovery of a physical media vault containing thousands of Betacam, VHS, and D1 tapes, alongside other media assets. Digitizing those materials recovered master full-motion video (FMV) sequences previously thought lost.
EA describes the Anniversary Editions as preserving each game's original look, feel, and creative intent. Their quality-of-life changes support modern systems and controls, improve performance, and aim to make the games more approachable without compromising their authenticity.
Theme Hospital and the standard releases
Theme Hospital is one of the simulation games in the selection. Bullfrog Productions developed the Windows game, and Electronic Arts originally published it in 1997.
Players design hospital layouts from scratch, hire staff, manage budgets, and treat patients with increasingly absurd fictional illnesses. Its business simulation and strategy systems sit alongside dark humor, with the hospital's patients and diseases supplying the comedy.
The other standard releases cover space combat, action, and role-playing games from EA's catalogue:
- Wing Commander and Strike Commander: Wing Commander: Privateer, Wing Commander: Academy, Wing Commander: Armada, and Strike Commander.
- Crusader: Crusader: No Remorse and Crusader: No Regret.
- Ultima: Ultima I: The First Age of Darkness, Ultima II: The Revenge of the Enchantress, Ultima III: Exodus, Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar, Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny, Ultima VI: The False Prophet, Ultima VII: The Complete Edition, Ultima VIII: Gold Edition, and Ultima IX: Ascension.
- Ultima Underworld: Ultima Underworld I and Ultima Underworld II.
The Ultima selection includes all nine numbered entries, with The Complete Edition used for Ultima VII and Gold Edition for Ultima VIII. The two Ultima Underworld games are separate entries in the 25-game lineup.

The Restored Classic Sale discounts individual games by 50%. Ultima and Wing Commander bundles are also available at 55% off.
