Earn G-WEMIX in Legend of YMIR

Wemade has released new details about the G-WEMIX play-to-earn (P2E) structure that will be central to its upcoming blockchain-based MMORPG, Legend of YMIR. The announcement outlines how players can earn G-WEMIX through various in-game activities and later exchange it for the $WEMIX token.

This system is designed to integrate blockchain mechanics into traditional gameplay without disrupting core game progression, aiming to provide players with the option to earn digital assets while actively participating in the game.

Wemade's Web3 MMORPG

Legend of YMIR is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed on the Wemix mainnet and built using Unreal Engine 5. Set in a world inspired by Norse mythology, the game follows a recurring cycle of events leading up to Ragnarok, the apocalyptic end that reshapes the game world every 9,000 years.

Players explore a dynamic landscape while engaging in large-scale battles, using a third-person combat system that incorporates various skills and strategies depending on character class. The game is designed as a web3 MMORPG, meaning that it includes a player-driven economy supported by blockchain technology. Items acquired through gameplay are tradable as NFTs, giving players ownership of their in-game assets.

G-WEMIX plays a central role in this ecosystem by acting as both a progression tool and a monetary reward. The game is expected to launch globally in the second half of 2025. While specific platforms have not been announced, the game is likely to be free to play on both Windows PCs and mobile devices, following the model of other titles in the Wemix ecosystem such as Mir4 and Night Crows.

How to Earn G-WEMIX in Legend of YMIR

G-WEMIX serves as the main in-game currency that can be earned through gameplay in Legend of YMIR. This currency can be used in multiple ways, including strengthening character builds and upgrading equipment. Players who prefer to convert their progress into digital assets also have the option to exchange G-WEMIX at a fixed 1:1 ratio with the $WEMIX token.

The structure has been designed to give players flexibility in how they choose to engage with the game's token economy, offering a balance between character development and monetary gain. The primary way to earn G-WEMIX is by participating in cross-server competitive gameplay. Players will take part in monster hunts that span multiple servers, which include content such as Contested Areas, time-limited dungeons like the Hall of Gold, and group-based Expeditions that involve boss fights and raid dungeons.

Each of these activities is designed to encourage cooperation and competition, with rewards distributed based on server performance. If a server performs well during these cross-server events, it receives an increased supply of G-WEMIX, which is then made available to its players.

This structure introduces an added layer of strategy, as servers must coordinate efforts to outperform others and gain access to more in-game rewards. Players are incentivized to consistently improve their characters and work together to maximize their server's success in these events. This system aims to enhance the immersive aspects of the game while providing a revenue-generating mechanism through regular gameplay.

Final Thoughts

In addition to Legend of YMIR, Wemade is actively expanding its web3 gaming portfolio. Recently, the company introduced the P2E structure for ROM: Golden Age, a blockchain version of an existing MMORPG developed by RedLab Games. The two companies have partnered to integrate the game into the Wemix ecosystem.

Furthermore, Night Crows is preparing to launch its own seasonal token, RAVN, with updated tokenomics aimed at refreshing player engagement. These updates reflect Wemade's broader strategy of developing interconnected blockchain-based games, each with its own token economy, while leveraging the Wemix platform to ensure interoperability and financial stability across titles.
