Ember Sword, the free-to-play MMORPG from Bright Star Studios, has launched its Early Access on mainnet, bringing players into the world of Thanabus with real blockchain-powered in-game assets. The launch went live on December 2nd at 1 PM CET, letting players earn NFT rewards through gameplay while exploring, battling, and trading in a player-driven economy.
About Ember Sword
Ember Sword is an MMORPG built around fast-paced ARPG/MOBA combat in a persistent fantasy world. Players can collect rare cosmetics, own dynamic land plots, and gather valuable items while shaping a world that reflects their choices. Blockchain ownership adds rarity and excitement, giving players real control over their in-game assets.
Collectibles come from PvE battles, PvP seasons, and boss fights. Players can trade or merge cosmetics to create rarer items, showing off their style and skill. Landowners provide premium services and manage resources, earning real rewards as the world grows around them.

Early Access Mainnet Launch Details
The mainnet launch brings major infrastructure upgrades. All in-game assets and $EMBER tokens are now fully on-chain, stored securely and tradable as NFTs. Players start in Solarwood, an expanded version of the starting area, and can explore five regions: The Capital, Millwheat, North Dalland, Witwood Quarry, Espire Plains, and Sunrift. These regions mix PvE and PvP environments, with more areas planned as the game develops.

Exploring the Game's Features and Economy
In Ember Sword, you start with basic gear and craft tools like pickaxes to gather resources. Those resources upgrade crafting benches and improve equipment. The economy runs on player trading—resources, equipment, and other items change hands constantly. Only cosmetics and land ownership use web3 infrastructure. Non-tradable resources like gold, basic emotes, and weapons stay off-chain, keeping the game free from pay-to-win mechanics.
Early Access includes quests ranging from resource collection to enemy elimination. Completing these quests drops loot and levels up skills. PvP zones let players fight each other for better rewards. Resources can be lost in combat, but NFT cosmetics stay safe no matter how many times you die.

NFTs and Cosmetic Customization
Character customization goes deep. Physical appearance is adjustable, and cosmetic items like skins and emotes are tradable NFTs. Buy, sell, or merge them through the Mintle Market, an NFT marketplace on Mantle, an Ethereum layer 2 network. Skins and emotes come in different rarities and are sold through the Premium Shop.
The Ember Sword Origins Collection launched on Rarible in September, offering chests with exclusive skins, animated emotes, and $EMBER tokens. Future updates will expand land ownership and add pets and more cosmetics.

Everything You Need to Know to Play
Ember Sword Early Access is free-to-play and runs in web browsers. Register an account on the official site to start. Earning NFTs requires connecting an EVM-compatible wallet. The game currently runs on a Singapore-based server, with more servers coming as the player base grows.
Best performance comes from Windows using Chrome or Edge. Firefox works but isn't recommended. MacOS users have workarounds for visual issues, though these aren't officially supported. A mobile version is planned.
