Empires Not Vampires Introduces Paradise Legends

Empires Not Vampires, the studio behind Paradise Tycoon, has introduced a new title called Paradise Legends. Rather than releasing the game independently, the developers have chosen to present it as a prototype within Paradise Tycoon itself. This integration allows players to test the new arcade RPG as an in-game event while providing feedback throughout multiple development stages. The ultimate goal is to release a standalone beta version of Paradise Legends in the third quarter of 2025.

About Paradise Legends

Paradise Legends represents the second entry in the Paradise IP, expanding the game universe with a focus on real-time action and strategic gameplay. Unlike the life simulation structure of Paradise Tycoon, Paradise Legends offers wave-based combat within an arcade RPG framework. Players engage in short sessions where they must defeat consecutive waves of monsters, earning points that determine their position on a competitive leaderboard. High-performing participants can receive in-game rewards such as $MOANI tokens and NFTs.

The game prototype is accessible through a designated arena button in Paradise Tycoon, available on both desktop web browsers and mobile devices. Players who enter the event are required to assemble a loadout consisting of up to five items before beginning a session. These items include weapons and consumables that are originally crafted in Paradise Tycoon. Once inside the event, only these pre-selected items are available for use, making strategic planning a key component of gameplay.

Gameplay and Metagame Integration

One of the notable features of Paradise Legends is its interoperability with Paradise Tycoon. Items such as pickaxes, scythes, and axes, which serve functional purposes in the main game, become offensive tools in the combat setting of Paradise Legends. Consumables like health potions and speed boosts also carry over, reinforcing the importance of item crafting and preparation.

In addition to combat, Paradise Legends includes a metagame layer that continues to rely on systems from Paradise Tycoon. Players can craft and upgrade weapons, refine consumables, and engage in trade through the Auction House. All of these activities are powered by the $MOANI token, which facilitates a shared economy across both titles. This design supports interoperability by allowing assets to retain utility across different gameplay environments.

Development Timeline and Community Feedback

The developers are structuring the prototype in four development rounds, with each phase offering new gameplay features and updates based on community input. The first round took place from April 25 to May 2, allowing players to test early features and earn rewards by climbing the leaderboard. A recap of this round, including participation metrics and gameplay highlights, has been published by the development team.

Future rounds will introduce additional content. While there is no official start date for the second round, the developers have indicated that it will feature expanded potion recipes, new area-of-effect monsters, additional weapon types, and enhanced enemy resistances. The focus will also shift slightly toward tactical decision-making and inventory management. Rounds three and four are expected to be guided heavily by player feedback, shaping gameplay improvements and balance adjustments leading up to the full beta launch.

How to Access the Prototype Event

Players who wish to participate in Paradise Legends can do so directly from the Paradise Tycoon interface. Upon launching the game on desktop or mobile, users can click the arena icon located on the main screen. From there, they can view the leaderboard, configure their loadout, and enter the arena. Participation is free, and no separate installation is required.

Paradise Legends offers a test case in web3 gaming by embedding a new game within an established platform. By integrating shared assets, an interoperable token, and a unified marketplace, the developers aim to build a cohesive gaming ecosystem that encourages ongoing engagement across multiple titles. As the project continues to evolve through player input and incremental updates, the upcoming rounds of Paradise Legends will play a key role in shaping the direction of its standalone release in 2025.
