Web3 developer Find Satoshi Lab has announced that Gas Hero, its newly released game, generated $90 million in NFT trading volume during its first month.

The game includes six NFT collections that let players buy and sell in-game items like characters and weapons as NFTs on the Polygon PoS blockchain. The Gas Hero Common Heroes collection currently sits as the fifth most-traded NFT collection over the past 24 hours, based on CryptoSlam data.

From fitness app to web3 game

Find Satoshi Lab built its reputation with Stepn, a blockchain fitness app. Gas Hero marks the studio's push into web3 gaming. The game's ongoing Gas Wars PvP events give players a shot at splitting 14 million $GMT tokens.

Shiti Maghani, COO of Find Satoshi Lab, describes the game: "Gas Hero is all about battling, collecting NFTs, and earning GMT. It's a social game where strategic planning takes center stage." Unlike STEPN, which runs on its own infrastructure, Gas Hero operates on Polygon using a bridged $GMT token.

Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon Labs, called the game's early performance encouraging and pointed to its wide appeal as evidence of growing interest in web3 gaming. Gas Hero has more than 10,000 active users and runs on both mobile and desktop without requiring a download.

The game's first-month trading volume and active NFT marketplace position it as one of the more visible web3 game launches in recent months.
