The GAM3 Awards return this December 2023, bringing together a fresh lineup of judges from across the web3 gaming space. This year's panel combines returning voices from 2022 with new additions representing venture capital, blockchain ecosystems, infrastructure partners, content creation, and major tech players like Amazon and Google.
Meet Brycent, one of this year's jurors. He's a gaming content creator and streamer for XSET, the esports and lifestyle organization that signed him in April this year. That move marked a first: while esports teams have dabbled in web3 gaming, none had signed a creator focused exclusively on web3 content until Brycent joined the roster. He started building his audience in 2021 as a former software engineer who pivoted into content creation, gaining traction in the Axie Infinity community. Later that year, he founded Loot Bolt, a web3-powered social payments platform built to help communities grow. By 2022, Brycent inked a deal with Gary Vaynerchuk's Vaynersports, a partnership that's still running today.

1. What is the most enjoyable part of your role?
"Creating content that resonates with audiences around the world, and seeing the impact it makes on the lives of others is an unimaginable feeling."
2. How do you see the progress made in web3 gaming since last year?
"The games are starting to get better but we still lack a holistic experience to sink numerous hours into. But it's getting there."
3. What is the most valuable addition web3 brings into gaming, from your perspective, if any?
"I think the openness of asset ownership is the most impactful piece to the puzzle but that shouldn't come at the expense of gameplay."
4. What is your outlook on 2024 and beyond for web3 gaming?
"Play whatever I want to play across all of gaming, and be the change that's needed to see this space impactfully grow."
