Honkai Star Rail Ashveil materials, kit ...

Honkai: Star Rail version 4.1 launches Wednesday, March 25, introducing five-star character Ashveil and compressing the usual six-week patch cycle into just four weeks as HoYoverse realigns its schedule.

Why version 4.1 runs shorter than usual

Version 4.1 lasts only four weeks instead of the standard six. The compressed timeline exists because version 4.0 arrived two weeks behind schedule, and the developer needs to course-correct before version 4.2 drops alongside Honkai: Star Rail's third anniversary. Players face a tighter deadline to finish events and pull limited characters before the next update.

danger
Version 4.1 wraps up April 21, leaving only four weeks to pull limited banners and clear the Wispae War Saga event. Budget your Stellar Jade carefully.

Version 4.1 banner schedule

Version 4.1 banner lineup

Version 4.1 banner lineup

The version 4.1 banner rotation breaks down as follows:

Phase 1 (March 25 to April 7)

  • Ashveil runs the entire patch from March 25 through April 21
  • Hyacine appears only during Phase 1, March 25 to April 7
  • Boosted four-star characters on both banners: Asta, Moze, and Misha

Phase 2 (April 8 to April 21)

  • Boothill joins Ashveil for the patch's second half
  • The Fate collaboration banners featuring Archer and Saber continue running throughout the patch

What's new in version 4.1

Version 4.1 delivers a lighter content drop compared to the sprawling 4.0 update. Here's what arrives with the patch:

  • New Trailblaze Mission advancing the Planarcadia storyline
  • Star Rail FEST, a Planarcadia zone drawing inspiration from Belobog, the Xianzhou Luofu, and Penacony
  • Pearluxe Tower, an additional explorable Planarcadia location
  • A new five-star Elation Light Cone purchasable in the shop
  • Two new sets of Planar Ornaments
  • Gift of Odyssey check-in rewards (10 Special Passes)

Divergent Universe: Arcadian Chronicles

The primary endgame addition in 4.1 is Divergent Universe: Arcadian Chronicles, a Planarcadia-themed overhaul of the existing Divergent Universe format. Every room transforms into a card, and Waypoint Passes let players jump directly to preferred domains, including bypassing combat entirely for reward rooms. Players select a mask at the start of each run and level it up for increasing rewards.

Wispae War Saga event

Active from March 25 to April 20, Wispae War Saga is a roguelike strategy mini-game where players gather and upgrade wispae creatures to fight through four zones. After each battle, three random cards and capsules with different effects appear, working much like the buff cards in Simulated and Divergent Universe modes.

What's still running from version 4.0

Boothill returns in Phase 2

Boothill returns in Phase 2

Version 4.0 delivered a substantial content wave, including the new Planarcadia region, 2D platforming mini-games, the Cosmicon Collectivecard game, and the first Currency Wars: Zero Sums expansion. Players who haven't completed the 4.0 Trailblaze Mission or the Cosmicon, Roll On! and Ding! Arcadia Fun-Time Clock-In Essentials events should finish those by March 23, just before 4.1 goes live.

Next livestream window

The next official Honkai: Star Rail preview livestream is projected for around Friday, April 10, following the typical 12-days-before-update pattern. That stream will reveal all banners and events arriving in version 4.2. However, the shortened 4.1 cycle could push the 4.2 livestream to Friday, April 17 instead.
