Imaginary Ones, the brainchild of co-founders Clement Chia and David Lee, has grown from an NFT collection into a full entertainment universe combining fashion, gaming, and digital content. The project's collaborations include a partnership with Hugo Boss, and the team continues expanding its reach across web3 entertainment.

$10 million sold in minutes

Imaginary Ones launched with a bang when its bubbly NFT collection sold over $10 million worth in under four minutes. The momentum carried into a Hugo Boss collaboration that dropped 1,001 curated NFTs — all gone in 10 minutes. That partnership proved fashion and digital art could coexist, and it gave Imaginary Ones the runway to become something bigger than a single NFT drop.

Co-founder Clement Chia, who goes by 'Cmttat' online, spent years as an animation artist working with Samsung and L'Oreal. His co-founder David Lee runs OFFSET.SG, an award-winning digital content platform. Together, they turned Imaginary Ones from a one-off NFT project into a multi-layered entertainment brand.

Over 250K downloads

After the NFT sales, Imaginary Ones released Imaginary Rides, a 20,000-piece NFT collection tied to the intergalactic racer Bubble Rangers. The game's colorful vehicles and competitive racing pulled in 6 million plays in three weeks.

The team then soft-launched Bubble Rangers as a mobile game, racking up 250,000 downloads in its first few months. Bubble Rangers is the first of six planned games, all designed to be easy to pick up regardless of player experience.

Blockchain tech and NFTs

Imaginary Ones shows what happens when blockchain technology and NFTs get baked into games without making them feel like homework. The platform gives players both the gameplay and the rewards, which keeps people coming back.

Co-founder Clement Chia believes web3 gaming can push blockchain technology into the mainstream if the games stay simple and fun. Partnerships with Hugo Boss and Disney prove the concept works for audiences beyond crypto natives.

The team recently partnered with Immutable X to bring Bubble Rangers, an endless runner, to Android and iOS. Players earn "bubble points" that will convert into $BUBBLE tokens once the token launches.

Final thoughts

Imaginary Ones keeps finding new ways to mix fashion, gaming, and blockchain without making any of it feel forced. The team has native tokens, animated films, and more partnerships in the pipeline, which suggests they're thinking bigger than just another NFT project.
