Influence, the upcoming space-based MMORPG, is currently in its pre-release phase, offering players a chance to test the game and earn $SWAY tokens, the in-game currency.
The pre-release, already underway, allocates 1 billion $SWAY for distribution across three categories: Solo Missions, Community Missions, and Community Support/Engagement, with a 50/50 split between Solo and Community Missions.
For those eager to get a head start, early access begins on February 21st, 15:00 UTC, for Influence NFT owners and early website sign-ups. Public access opens to everyone on February 27th.
Accessing the Playtest
To participate in the pre-release, known as Exploitation, players can log in at game-prerelease.influenceth.io. A Starknet wallet, with Argent X being the most popular, is required, and players need to set their network to the Sepolia test chain.
Accessing the playtest and bridging assets can be done through the official wiki, which provides information on the process. Players can choose to bridge existing NFTs onto the testnet or purchase new Crew members and Asteroids. Testnet ETH is required for transactions, available through the in-game store faucet or the Starknet Sepolia faucet, with one claim per day.
While playing, completing missions is the key to earning $SWAY tokens. Unfortunately, there's no in-game indicator for mission completion, so players need to keep track manually. The playtest also includes community missions.
Notably, only Crew members bridged from the mainnet can be used for missions during the pre-release. New Crewmates will have to wait until the public release. Players may refer to the official wiki and seek assistance on Discord to navigate the intricacies of Influence, a game known for its complexity.
