A Pokémon Winds and Waves leak circulating on November 6 claims three new Pokémon additions, with Charcadet and Oricorio named in the report. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have not confirmed the claims.
What the leak says about Oricorio
The leak describes two new Oricorio forms. The Generation 7 Pokémon changes its appearance and type when exposed to certain nectar, making alternate forms an established part of its design.
Oricorio's existing forms include Fire, Electric, Psychic, and Ghost variants. These are forms of the same Pokémon, so the leaked total should not be read as three wholly separate species.
Charcadet debuted as a Fire-type Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Its existing evolution paths lead to Armarouge or Ceruledge, depending on the armor used on it.

Which new Pokémon are official?
The games were first revealed on Pokémon Day earlier this year, in a trailer that also showed returning Pokémon. The officially revealed new Pokémon remain the three starters:
| Starter Pokémon | Type |
|---|---|
| Browt | Grass |
| Pombon | Fire |
| Gecqua | Water |
The starters' later forms have not been revealed. The familiar Grass, Fire, and Water choice remains the starting point for players choosing their first partner.
If you are using Pokémon Winds and Waves guides to plan a team, keep the rumored Charcadet and Oricorio additions separate from those confirmed choices.
