Sesh, a fan engagement platform built for music artists, has closed a $7 million funding round led by Miura Global, with backing from angel investors in music and tech. The company plans to use the capital to expand its platform features, bring more artists onboard, and strengthen the infrastructure that powers direct artist-fan connections.
About Sesh
Launched in 2023, Sesh tackles a problem most artists know well: traditional social media platforms put walls between creators and their most loyal fans. Algorithms decide who sees what, data stays locked behind corporate dashboards, and meaningful engagement gets buried under noise. Sesh flips that model by giving artists the tools to own their audience relationships, access real user data, and communicate without intermediaries.

Introduction of the Member Card for Fans
Alongside the funding news, Sesh rolled out a new feature called the Member Card. It's a digital pass that lets fans join an artist's community without downloading another app. Fans add the card to their phone's digital wallet, and artists can send push notifications straight to their lock screens. No algorithm. No feed competition. Just direct access.
Artists can use the Member Card to promote new releases, drop exclusive merch, announce VIP events, or offer presale tickets. It's a cleaner, faster way to reach the people who actually care, cutting out the middleman platforms that usually control the conversation.

Platform Goals and Artist Empowerment
Sesh operates on a simple premise: a small group of dedicated superfans can sustain an artist's career if the tools exist to reach and monetize them properly. The platform integrates with Spotify and TikTok to pull in deeper audience insights, helping artists understand who their fans are and what they respond to. The goal is to make it easier for emerging, independent, and signed artists to turn engagement into income.
Pepe Del Rio, Sesh's CEO, framed the company's mission as solving a core industry problem: talented artists who can't make a living because they lack effective ways to monetize their work. Even a few hundred engaged fans can make the difference between quitting and building a sustainable career.

A Growing Artist Network and Industry Reach
Sesh now works with over 250 artists, including Yeri Mua, Anitta, Alleh & Yorghaki, Mau y Ricky, and Lasso. Collectively, these artists pull in more than 750 million monthly Spotify listeners and command over one billion social media followers. Last year, artists on the platform racked up 44 Grammy nominations, a sign that Sesh isn't just servicing niche indie acts.
The company was founded by Pepe Del Rio, Iñigo-Hubertus Bunzl Pelayo, and María José Guzman, who brought together experience in finance, tech, and artist management. They built Sesh to address gaps they saw firsthand: artists losing control of their data, their audience, and their revenue streams.
Looking Ahead
With fresh funding and the Member Card now live, Sesh is doubling down on its vision for a more transparent, artist-controlled music industry. The platform gives creators direct fan access, actionable data, and communication tools that don't depend on social media whims. As the music business leans harder into digital engagement and web3 technologies, platforms like Sesh are carving out space as essential infrastructure for artists who want to own their careers instead of renting them from Big Tech.
