Mon Studio has officially launched PvP Leagues Era 3 in their monster-catching MMORPG, Spellborne. This marks the third competitive period of Season 2: Risk and Reward, which originally began in November 2024. Following the conclusion of Era 2 on January 31st, the new era started immediately and will run until February 14th at 2:30 PM GMT. Players can compete in strategic, turn-based battles for a chance to climb the ELO-based leaderboard, earning valuable in-game rewards and points for the game's play-to-airdrop system.

PvP Leagues Era 3
Matches in Spellborne pit players against each other in 1v1 turn-based battles reminiscent of Pokémon. Each turn requires strategic move selection to gain the upper hand. Reaching specific ELO thresholds unlocks rewards, while higher leaderboard positions accumulate more gameplay points. These points feed into Spellborne's airdrop system, determining allocations of the upcoming $BORNE token.
The airdrop system breaks down into three categories: Gameplay Rewards, Store Rewards, and Creator Rewards. Gameplay Rewards come from PvP League participation, daily quests, and monster captures. Store Rewards require purchasing season passes and chests. Creator Rewards are earned by posting game content on Twitter/X tagged with #SpellborneCreate.
Era 3's launch brings several updates. The level cap now sits at 37, with four new mutations and over 40 additional moves added to the game. Mobile versions for Android and iOS are now live, though currently restricted to Apartment and Monster token holders. New players can jump in for free through web browsers using Google or Apple accounts.

Beacon Orbs Event Offers New Rewards
Spellborne has introduced the Beacon Orbs event in partnership with Skillcap Studio, developers of the action roguelite RPG The Beacon. This crossover lets players collect Blue Orbs by fighting wild monsters. Standard players see a 50% drop rate, while Beacon Writ Of Passage NFT holders get 75%.
Blue Orbs fuel a 2048-style minigame inside Spellborne. Progressing through the minigame earns Golden Orbs, which become claimable once the game ends or no moves remain. Golden Orbs can be spent in the After Market on various items. The event runs until February 12th at 3 PM GMT.
Players access the Beacon Orbs event through the in-game Events screen, opened via the calendar icon on the right side or by pressing Q. The collaboration with The Beacon introduces new mechanics and gives players another avenue to earn items.

Final Thoughts
PvP Leagues Era 3 and the Beacon Orbs event push Spellborne's content forward with fresh competitive opportunities and limited-time rewards. Both events wrap up in mid-February, giving players a narrow window to participate. Season 2 continues to develop, with the $BORNE token launch targeted for Q1 2025.
