Developer Hitbox Games has launched the open beta for Swords of Blood, a hack-and-slash RPG running a play-to-airdrop campaign throughout March 2025. Players can earn $HBOX NFTs by clearing campaign stages and daily dungeons. The airdrop runs from March 1st to March 31st, with each NFT containing 2000 tokens projected to be worth $10 when the Token Generation Event (TGE) goes live in April 2025.

About Swords of Blood
Swords of Blood is a free-to-play action RPG built around fast combat and a monster-filled fantasy world. The game includes campaign mode, monster-hunting mode, co-op boss fights, and daily dungeons that drop rewards. Players craft weapons, upgrade gear, and refine their builds through equipment choices. The game runs on ApeChain, with Immutable providing blockchain support that lets players interact with NFTs across both networks.
The open beta blends blockchain mechanics with standard RPG systems. Players fight through dungeons, battle enemies, and collect digital assets that feed into the game's economy. The beta also serves as the entry point for the play-to-airdrop campaign, which distributes up to $50,000 in rewards.

How to Earn $HBOX NFTs During the Open Beta
Players can earn $HBOX NFTs throughout March by finishing campaign stages and daily dungeons. The NFTs convert into tokens once the $HBOX TGE happens in April 2025. Each NFT holds 2000 tokens, estimated at $10 per NFT at TGE.
The game distributes 166 $HBOX NFTs daily, roughly $1660 in daily rewards. Drop rates are not public, but every player has a small chance per run. If you get an NFT, you're locked out for one hour before you can earn another. This cooldown pushes players to take breaks and come back later for more attempts.

Reporting Issues and Distribution
NFT drops don't show up immediately on the reward screen after a stage or dungeon. You need to return to the main screen to see if you got one. Check the GUTS menu on the right side of the main screen to see your total. Some players can't access the GUTS menu, but that doesn't affect drop eligibility.
The developers fixed earlier drop rate bugs in the latest build and expect the menu issue to be patched soon. Since there are only 166 NFTs per day, missing out today just means trying again tomorrow. Distribution resets at 00:00 UTC daily.
Additional Features and Future Updates
Swords of Blood doesn't have bonus multipliers, boosted drop rates, or perks for holding specific NFTs or finishing social quests. Players can buy NFT gear through the Sequence-powered marketplace to speed up progression. A leaderboard exists in-game, but the team confirmed leaderboard rewards aren't active yet. When they go live, you'll need to equip at least three specific NFTs to qualify for ranking prizes.
$HBOX is the governance and utility token for Swords of Blood and future Hitbox Games projects. The open beta focuses on the play-to-airdrop campaign, but the token will have broader uses in the game's ecosystem down the line.
