Built on Arbitrum Blockchain

Built on the Arbitrum blockchain, Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E. offers unparalleled transparency, shared creation, and a truly collaborative experience where Sequence's powerful web3 development tooling provides the critical blockchain infrastructure for this expansion of the Captain Laserhawk universe, on-chain.

Exploring Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E.

Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E. is based on the popular Netflix series, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. The G.A.M.E. features iconic characters from various Ubisoft franchises and the industry’s most popular IPs, such as Rayman, Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, Rainbow Six, and many others. The G.A.M.E. occurs within Eden, a dystopian world where players become citizens.

The entire Eden community will collaborate, overcoming challenges across various channels within and outside the Ubisoft ecosystem, to raise their citizen score and gain greater decision-making power for survival. In this game, players aren’t only content consumers but active participants in shaping the cyberpunk world of Eden and its story. Players will have a say in the game through a robust web3 governance system built on Arbitrum, a gaming-focused L2 blockchain that ensures transparency, fairness, and player ownership.

Role of Squecnce?

The vision of Captain Laswerhawk: The G.A.M.E. is to build a unique, collaborative experience enabled by blockchain technology. That’s why Ubisoft chose Sequence and its powerful web3 stack to provide critical blockchain tooling to the partnership. Nicolas Pouard, VP of Ubisoft Labs, commented on the news, stating:

"By combining Arbitrum's high-performance blockchain with Sequence's comprehensive web3 toolkit, Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E. is poised to revolutionize gaming by placing power directly in the hands of players. This innovative project empowers the community to actively shape the game's narrative, gameplay, and overall experience, fostering a truly collaborative and transparent ecosystem for Captain Laserhawk."

The Sequence web3 platform, Sequence Builder, provides a robust suite of battle-tested tools designed to streamline web3 integration into games, apps, and platforms. This comprehensive offering includes non-custodial wallets, marketplaces, an in-house indexer, gas sponsorship solutions, a node gateway, verified Unreal, Unity, and mobile SDKs, minting and transaction APIs, analytics, and more.

As pioneers in the web3 space, the Sequence team has been instrumental in developing foundational standards such as ERC1155, ERC1271, and ERC6492, significantly accelerating blockchain adoption and accessibility. Nina Rong, Head of Ecosystem Development at the Arbitrum Foundation, expressed enthusiasm stating:

“Ubisoft's adoption of Arbitrum for their community-driven game is a significant milestone for our ecosystem. This collaboration highlights the growing appeal of blockchain technology for the gaming industry, and we're thrilled to support innovative projects that are driving wider adoption and accessibility."

Final Thoughts

Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E. marks an advancement in combining gaming with blockchain technology. Utilizing the Arbitrum blockchain and Sequence's web3 tools, Ubisoft has created a platform where players can actively influence the game's narrative and development.

This approach aims to enhance player involvement and ensure a transparent gaming experience. As the game prepares for launch, the collaboration between Ubisoft, Sequence, and the Arbitrum Foundation highlights their focus on innovative and community-driven gaming.
