Voya Games Expands to Ronin Blockchain

Voya Games has confirmed it will launch its fully on-chain resource management game, Craft World, on the Ronin blockchain this summer. This move marks a key development in Voya’s broader roadmap for building interconnected web3 games and experiences. Craft World was initially tested under the name Angry Dynomites Labs on the Polygon testnet. During this test phase, the game attracted engagement from over 240,000 wallets and was made accessible on both mobile devices and web platforms.

Craft World is designed as an idle resource game that operates entirely on-chain, enabling players to collect and trade over 25 distinct resources, each represented by an ERC20 token. The game will serve as a central element of Voya’s vision for a network of blockchain-enabled titles that are connected through shared mechanics and economies.

Dyno Coin and the Role of Project Voyager

A key component of Craft World’s economy is Dyno Coin, a utility token created for in-game use only. Dyno Coin is designed with an uncapped supply and is intended to support various transactions within the Craft World environment, including resource trading and upgrades. Rather than pursuing traditional token sale strategies, Voya plans to distribute Dyno Coins through a community-focused approach linked to a new game called Project Voyager.

Project Voyager is a web-based metagame that will reward players with crystals for completing quests and engaging in social activities. These crystals are used to upgrade in-game characters and assets and will determine the amount of Dyno Coins allocated to each player. The game will launch with an initial four-week season that will conclude with Craft World’s full migration from the Polygon testnet to its mainnet release on Ronin.

Ronin Chosen for Its Long-Term Stability

Voya Games has selected Ronin as the platform for Craft World’s launch due to the network’s long-term performance and strong community support. According to Voya CEO Oliver Löffler, Ronin offers a stable environment with an engaged player base and a history of consistent development beyond temporary market trends. He emphasized that Ronin’s ecosystem aligns well with Voya’s goals for scaling sustainable web3 games.

Jeff Zirlin, co-founder of Ronin developer Sky Mavis, also commented on the partnership, noting Craft World’s ability to generate revenue through in-game advertising rather than relying solely on player purchases. He highlighted this model as a strong example of how web3 games can build scalable virtual economies. For further information about Craft World, Project Voyager, or the broader plans of Voya Games, users are encouraged to visit the company’s official website and review its litepaper.
