The Sunreach Isles sit far from where most players spend their time in Palworld, which is exactly why Eidrolon stays off the radar for so long. This dark and dragon-type Pal is one of the more distinctive flying mounts in the game, and once players know it exists, the question becomes the same every time: where do you actually find it?
Getting to the Sunreach Isles without losing your mind
Eidrolon spawns in the Sunreach Isles, a floating island region in the southwest corner of the map. You can fly there directly if you already have a capable flying mount, but the smarter route is the portal at the top of Feybreak Tower at coordinates (-1293, -1669). That teleports you directly to the eastern side of the Sunreach Isles, cutting out a lot of travel time.
Once you land, the Alpha Eidrolon patrols southeast of the Waterlily Gorge fast travel statue at coordinates (-489, -1524). The Alpha is the most reliable encounter if you want to catch one rather than breed it, and it tends to stay in a fairly predictable patrol pattern around that area.
Why Eidrolon is worth the trip
Here is the thing: Eidrolon is not just a collectible. As a dark and dragon dual-type, it slots naturally into both dragon-focused and dark-focused party builds, giving it real flexibility in late-game setups. The flying mount utility makes it even more appealing since it handles both combat and traversal roles without needing a second Pal to fill the travel gap.
For players already hunting rare Pals across the map, Eidrolon sits in the same tier of effort-to-reward as finding Frostallion or Frostallion Noct. Speaking of which, if you are still tracking down those legendary ice types, the Palworld Frostallion location guide covers both variants in full.
Breeding Eidrolon instead of catching it
Catching the Alpha is not the only path. Breeding is a legitimate and sometimes easier option, especially if you already have the right Pals in your collection.
The Breeding Farm unlocks at level 19 and requires an ancient technology point to build. Once it is up, you need two compatible Pals and a cake to start the process. The combination that consistently produces an Eidrolon egg without requiring you to already have one is Blazamut paired with Lyleen.
- Blazamut spawns on Flamepulse Islet in the northeastern section of the map at coordinates (750, 408)
- Lyleen can be found on Sakurajima island at coordinates (-630, 300)
Both are mid-to-late game Pals, but they are more accessible than attempting to catch an Eidrolon directly if you are still building out your roster. There are other breeding combinations that produce Eidrolon as well, and the full list is longer than most players expect.
What most players miss about the Sunreach Isles
The region itself is worth exploring beyond just the Eidrolon hunt. The Sunreach Isles contain resources and encounters that do not appear elsewhere on the map, so making the trip just for one Pal undersells what the area offers. If you are planning a full resource run while you are out there, the Palworld rare resources locations guide maps out everything worth grabbing across the late-game zones.
Eidrolon is one of those Pals that changes how you move around the map once you have it. Getting to the Sunreach Isles is the hardest part. After that, it is just a matter of whether you catch it or breed it first.
